Probably I have to bat a bit longer because the wicket was difficult against spin. The way Miraz and Nasum bowled - credit to them. And the way we started with the new ball - Taskin taking Gurbaz. He's an important batter. The way they finished, we got the momentum. That's what I want from Jaker and the lower middle order.

21:37 Local Time, 17:37 GMT, 23:07 IST: Afghanistan fall well short of the target on a pitch that was not easy to bat on against spin. Afghanistan spinners took 7/144 in 38 overs at 3.8 rpo. Bangladesh spinners took 5/71 in 21.3 overs at close to 3.4rpo. It was the spell from Farooqi that cost Afghanistan badly as he went for 0/69 in seven overs. He had an off day as he got his lengths wrong, overpitching too often, and Bangladesh took full toll. Jaker Ali, on debut, played a blinder in the death overs as the last five overs went for 52, allowing Bangladesh to recover nicely from 184/6. The chase didn't start off too badly for Afghanistan who were 70/1 after 16 overs. But once spinners got into operation from both ends, it was very hard to keep the scoreboard ticking. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, in particular, struggled a lot and couldn't get off strike. With the required rate climbing over 6, chances needed to be taken and they brought about a heap of wickets. So it's all square in this series and it's down to the decider on Monday. Time for the presentations.
