Krunal Pandya | Baroda captain: We worked pretty hard in the last 3-4 months. We have been playing as one unit. Everyone wants to contribute to the team. We are a work in progress and results are also going our way. We were put under pressure, we had a terrific start and then 5-6 overs we had no runs. The way Shivalik and Bhanu hit those sixes, overall a great team effort. The wicket was nice. It was a hard-fought victory and the boys made sure in the chase they made them hit on good balls and not on the easy ones. Getting better never stops and we are on that path. Hope we continue doing that.

Sudip Gharami | Bengal captain (translated from Hindi): Credit has to be given to Baroda. Last year they were runners-up, they have batted, fielded well. When we lost 4 wickets in the powerplay, our batting collapsed and that's where we lost the game. We learnt from this game that we should not give up and we can come back.

Three wickets in came in one Meriwala over and 4 wickets in 9 balls as they slipped to 31/4. Poor game awareness during that period cost Bengal. But Shahbaz Ahmed fought till the end, he was often starved of strike but he played a fine knock to make a fifty. Till he was there, Bengal were in it. His partnership with Ritwik Chowdhury brought Bengal back into the game but Hardik came on and broke that dangerous stand. After Ritwik went, no-one gave Shahbaz company and finally with the asking rate mounting, he found long-off after consecutive sixes.
