Jeetan Patel, Sam Hain star as Warwickshire pip Yorkshire

Skipper Jeetan Patel and No.3 Sam Hain starred in Warwickshire's comfortable five-wicket win over Yorkshire at Leeds in their North Group encounter. Jeetan destroyed Yorkshire's middle order that saw the hosts slip from 133 for 3 to 149 for 6. He also removed Adam Lyth earlier to end up with four wickets. Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara then held the innings together to score a 96-ball 73 to guide Yorkshire to 247 for 9.
A target of 248 didn't appear to trouble the visitors whose chase was aided by an 87-run second-wicket stand between Jonathan Trott and Hain. While Trott was eventually dismissed for 50, Hain continued to score runs at will despite losing Ian Bell cheaply. The youngster eventually went past three figures and remained unbeaten on 102 as Warwickshire won with 26 balls to spare.

A devastating century from Alex Davies set up Lancashire's massive 192-run win over Durham at Old Trafford. Davies made a 136-ball 146 and added 175 for the opening wicket with Keaton Jennings (73). Even though Durham did well to restrict Lancashire to 313 for 7 from 226 for 1, the damage seemed to have been done already.
Veteran Paul Collingwood was dismissed early in the run chase and from thereon, the visitors were never in the hunt. Only two batsmen managed to score more than 20 as Durham were bowled out for just 122 by the 32nd over. All five bowlers used by Lancashire ended up with two wickets each.

Half-centuries from Joshua Cobb, Alex Wakely and Adam Rossington helped Northamptonshire pick up a comfortable 49-run win over Nottinghamshire. While Cobb and Wakely made 78 and 72 respectively, Rossington smashed a 39-ball 50 with Steven Crook providing the finishing touches for the visitors with an unbeaten 45 off 28 balls. The collective batting effort helped Northamptonshire post an imposing 339 on the board.
The hosts were handed an early blow when Chris Nash fell for 8. Even though the rest of the batters got off to starts, they failed to make use of it and contribute big. If not for skipper Steven Mullaney's 61-ball 71, the hosts would have crumbled for ameagrescore. In the end, they were bowled out for 290 by the 47th over.

South Group
James Hildreth's magnificent 125-ball 159 batted Glamorgan out of the contest as they slipped to an 83-run loss against Somerset. At 49 for 2, Glamorgan thought they were well on top before Hildreth batted them into submission. He smashed 13 fours and eight sixes during his stay and took the team post 340 before falling. Tom Abell scored 40 off 25 and Craig Overton picked up 23 off 10 to provide the finishing touch.
Colin Ingram made 85 off 70 while Marchant de Lange chipped in with 40 off 28 but the big innings that Glamorgan desperately needed never came.

Gloucestershire sealed a four-wicket win over Essex after half-centuries from Gareth Roderick and George Hankins helped them in the chase of 288. However, it was the late blitz from Ryan Higgins, who smashed 47 off 29, that took the team over the line. Gloucestershire had slipped to 206 for 5 in the 41st over before Higgins spoiled the day for Essex.
Ashar Zaidi's attacking 77-ball 82 while batting at No. 7 helped Essex lift their total to 287 for 7 with handy contributions from Simon Harmer (34 off 26) and Ravi Bopara (50). Opting to bat, Essex got off to a good start with Varun Chopra and Adam Wheater scoring 74 for the first wicket. They suffered a mini collapse to slip to 93 for 4 before finishing strong.

Paul Stirling smashed 125 off 115 while Eoin Morgan made a half-century as Middlesex posted a challenging 313 for 9 after opting to bat. Middlesex got off to a flying start with Nick Gubbins and Stirling denting Kent early on but they did well to stay in the game with regular wickets. Once John Simpson was dismissed in the 42nd over, they slipped from 264 for to 313 for 9 and failed to capitalise in the death overs.
In the chase, Heino Kuhn fought hard with a 92-ball 90 but found little support from the others as Kent slipped to a 70-run defeat. Daniel Bell-Drummond made 44 while Tom Helm picked up a four-wicket haul to help Middlesex register an easy win.
