What a match this has turned out to be! Pakistan's winning streak ends on 9 matches. South Africa win a rare T20I at Newlands. 192 was never going to be a comfortable total for South Africa to defend, and Pakistan ensured the hosts weren't sitting secured till the last ball of the match. Shoaib Malik played a fine role but David Miller's excellence on the field eventually made the difference. 4 catches and 2 superb run outs in the field as South Africa won by 6 runs.

South Africa failed to capitalise on a good platform laid by Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks. When the duo was batting 220 seemed like a gettable total. However, a flurry of wickets in the death overs has restricted them to 192 for 6. Only 35 runs were scored in the last five overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Even as it's a good total, on a pitch where the ball is coming on easily, it is chaseable.

Chris Morris departs. Looking for a big hit, he holes out in the deep. South Africa's innings is getting slightly derailed. They are losing quick wickets and not able to accelerate as well as they would've liked.

Shinwari gets another, and this time, it is the big wicket of Reeza Hendricks. But take no credit away from Shadab Khan who takes a superb catch running in and diving forward. Fourth wicket down for South Africa as they aim to go past the 200-run mark.

Sheiwari has got another. Rassie van der Dussen falls for a duck as the left-armer bags his second wicket of the over. South Africa have lost their third wicket but they still have a set Reeza Hendricks in the middle.

WICKET! Life after DRS doesn't last long as Faf du Plessis hits the next delivery straight to the mid off fielder. A fine innings comes to an end on 78.

Pakistan have tried very hard and now they are going for a DRS, with the skipper convinced that Faf du Plessis is not out. His conviction comes true.

Reeza Hendricks may have played the secondary role in the second wicket stand with his skipper but he too has brought up his fifty in quick time - 31 balls.

Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks have brought up their century stand, and we are only in the 13th over of the innings. Their attacking approach has put Pakistan off guard. They need to dismantle the duo at the earliest.

Back to back swings through the cow corner gets Faf du Plessis a six and a boundary to bring up his half-century off only 29 balls. His innovative game play and constant attack mode hasn't allowed Pakistan to figure out plans against him.

INJURY NEWS: Quinton de Kock has been ruled out of the series against Pakistan after sustaining an injury to his left groin while fielding during the fifth ODI. He has been replaced by Janeman Malan.

Faf du Plessis has unsuccessfully tried to play the ramp shots a few time. While the first time he ended up getting himself yorked, the second time, he improvised to hit it over the third man region for a six. He followed up with the same shot the next delivery only to miss it completely. Some entertaining batting this!

South Africa adopted quite an aggressive approach in the powerplay, willing to play the risky shots. They have managed to eke out 48 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Decent enough?
