Delhi Capitals' poor chase has come to an end with them being 57 runs short. It was stunted at the start by Trent Boult and it just couldn't take off from there. David Warner played a rather out-of-character knock with his 65 coming off 55 deliveries. That's three defeats in a row for his side.

David Warner is still around but without the aura of the Warner we've known and watched dominate bowling attacks in the IPL of the recent past. He's labouring along while wickets fall at the other end. He's on 49 off 43 and DC have just 113 for 5 in 15 overs, with 89 to get from the last 30 balls. RR smashed 69 in their last five overs, can DC do 20 better? Could be down to what Rovman Powell can do from here...

Halfway stage: DC moving slowly, reach 68/3

This is not the pace at which you'd want your team to be going along in chase of 200 runs. But the early wickets have hamstrung DC and Warner too has been rather sluggish today. He's got a big milestone out of the way but the asking rate has gone to more than 13 an over.

PowerPlay: DC struggle at the start

David Warner has cut a frustrated figure at the other end so far in this tall chase as his top-order has betrayed him. He watched two batters walk off in the very first over, and then just when he was slowly rebuilding with Rilee Rossouw, the South African fell to Ashwin in the sixth over.DC are 38 for 3 in 6 overs.

Another eventful first over

What's with this game and a head-turning first over? In the first innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit five fours to make a 20-run start. Now Trent Boult - the PowerPlay swing merchant - has taken out DC's impact player Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey off successive balls. Shaw was squared up and nicked one behind where Samson took a superb diving one-handed catch and then Pandey was trapped leg before by a ball that moved inwards. Rilee Rossouw surved the hattrick ball but Boult started with a double-wicket maiden.

The answer to the question we asked a while ago - Can DC keep up the pressure at the death? - is an overwhelming NO. DC leaked 69 off the last 30 balls as Parag's dismissal was a blessing in disguise for RR, with Shimron Hetmyer walking out and swinging for the fences at will. The West Indies finished with an unbeaten 39 off 21 balls, with 1 four and 4 sixes. Over DC to start as well as RR to make this chase interesting.

No century for Jos Buttler

Oh Mukesh Kumar with the big scalp... that he or his teammates weren't even aware off. A full ball from the pacer that Buttler picked up and hit back at the bowler. Mukesh juggled it, caught it and threw it at the striker's end trying to send Buttler back to his crease. As it turns out, it wasn't a bump ball that Mukesh caught. The umpires sent it to their colleague upstairs and replays clearly showed that Buttler had hit it back to the bowler on the full. Buttler goes for 79 off 51.

15 overs done: DC clawing back?

Just the 27 runs in five overs since the 10th over mark for RR as DC slowly claw back via the two spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, as well as Rovman Powell's medium pace. The phase also saw local boy Riyan Parag dismissed for 7 off 11 balls. Can DC keep up at the death? Now that's the question...

Halfway stage: RR 103/2

Yashasvi Jaiswal was running away with some sublime batting until Mukesh Kumar put an end to the juggernaut. Jaiswal top-edged a short ball and the fast bowler took a catch off his own bowling to pick what is his first-ever IPL wicket. Emotions on display a little as he kissed the DC emblem on his jersey. Are you watching, Parth Jindal?

An over later, Sanju Samson went after Kuldeep Yadav's wrong 'un and didn't time his big hit towards the long on boundary. Instead, it is a straightforward catch to Nortje at long on. The RR captain trudged back for a four-ball duck.

What a knock from the RR opener. Entertaining for his side, absolutely disdainful for his opposition. It's come with 11 fours in it, hit all around the ground.

Pummeling in the PowerPlay

Rajasthan Royals get to 68/0 in 6 overs. Conditions have been perfect for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler to tee off straightaway and you can see the results. The only opportunity of respite came when Buttler mistimed a big hit but even as Nortje covered a lot of ground running backwards, he couldn't quite hold onto the ball.
