Ranji Highlights: Jagadeesan, Sudharsan fire TN into the lead

Notable batting performances
Himachal Pradesh amassed a mammoth 663 for 3 (decl) thanks to Ankit Kalsi's unbeaten 205. Prashant Chopra (171), Shubham Arora (118) and Ekant Sen (101) too scored centuries as well in Dharamsala. Mayank Dagar added the finishing touches to the innings with an unbeaten 56.
Shubham Khajuria carried on from his century overnight to score a double hundred (255) as J&K declared at 519 for 7. He was well supported by wicket-keeper Shivansh Sharma who was unbeaten on 106 at stumps. Rasikh Salam picked up a wicket for J&K as Maharashtra trail by 491 runs at Stumps.
Ajay Mandal (60) had a 97-run partnership with Shubham Agarwal (33) to take Chhatisgarh to 343 all-out from 217 for 6. This was following Aayush Pandey's 89 and Sanjeet Desai's 77 on Day 1. In response, Delhi captain Himmat Singh scored 50 as Delhi ended on 177 for 4 at stumps on Day 2.
N Jagadeesan scored a century while Sai Sudharsan scored 82 as the two batters were involved in a 172-run partnership for Tamil Nadu. They ended on 278 for 3 after bowling Saurashtra out for 203 on the previous day.
Railways posted 307 in their second innings courtesy of Upendra Yadav's 124, setting Chandigarh a target of 341. Chandigarh lost captain Manan Vohra for a duck before stumps and still require 310 runs to win.
In response to Bengal's 311, skipper Aryan Juyal led from the front for Uttar Pradesh with an unbeaten 90. He was involved with Swastik Chikara in an 83-run opening partnership. Uttar Pradesh are 198 for 3 at stumps
Notable bowling performances
Left-arm spinner Bhargav Bhatt picked up a four-wicket haul while Abhimanyu Singh scalped three wickets as Baroda bowled out Mumbai for 214 in response to their 290 in the first innings. Baroda currently lead by 85 runs heading into the third day.
Kerala's Aditya Sarwate (5-59) and Jalaj Saxena (4-70) had Punjab on the ropes at 180 for 9 at the end of Day 2. Rain delayed the start of day's play until the post Lunch session
Having bowled out Bihar for 78 on Day 1, Haryana posted 254 courtesy of Jayant Yadav's 55. Trailing by 176, Bihar were bowled out for another paltry score of 133. Jayant picked up a five-fer while Nishant Sindhu and Anshul Kamboj too chipped in with the wickets, as Haryana won by an innings and 43 runs within two days.
After Manan Hingrajia's 181 which pioneered Gujarat to 343 from 98 for 5, all the bowlers chipped in to keep Hyderabad down to 222. Chama Milind, Kodimela Himataja and Gahlaut Rahul Singh kept Hyderabad in the match with half-centuries.
No play was possible on the second day in Indore due to a wet outfield. Hosts MP scored 232 for 4 on the opening day.
Plate Group
Palzor tamang picked up four wickets as Mizoram were bowled out for 163. Half-centuries by Agni Chopra and KC Cariappa arrested their slide. In the third innings, Sikkim reached 129 for 5 at stumps, leading by 157 runs
After posting a mammoth 376, Goa bowled out Manipur for 98 in the first innings with Shubham Tari picking up five wickets. Inflicting the follow-on, Manipur reached currently 55 for 1 and still trail by 223 runs.
