Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has appointed Dilip Vengsarkar and Diana Edulji as cricket advisors to the association. "Their wealth of experience and deep understanding of the game will provide invaluable guidance to cricketing operations and development programmes," the MCA said in a statement.

The decision was taken at an Apex Council meeting of the association on Monday (June 9).
Vengsarkar (69) is a former India captain, chief selector and a former vice-president of the association. Edulji, also 69, is also a former captain of the Indian women's team besides being a member of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrator (CoA) that oversaw the functioning of the BCCI for three years last decade.
Other key decisions include reappointment of the existing members of the Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC). "The decision ensures continuity and builds upon the positive momentum achieved so far," MCA said. Rajeev Kulkarni (Chairman), Sahil Kukreja and Preeti Dimri are the CIC members.
"Dilip Sir's involvement with the Mumbai Cricket Association will play a key role in strengthening our grassroots cricket structure. Diana Madam's outstanding contribution to Mumbai cricket remains a constant source of inspiration. Their presence adds great value to our shared vision for the future of Mumbai cricket," Ajinkya Naik, MCA president, said.
