So, that's a wrap then. Join us again for the third and final ODI of the series that is scheduled for Thursday. Before that, there's plenty of cricketing action with the ongoing India-Australia Test, the upcoming Sri Lanka-Bangladesh series, the T20I between Afghanistan and Ireland and also the New Zealand-South Africa Test.

Post-match quotes:

Morgan - captain, England: "On a used wicket, building on what we did on Friday was going to be tough. Jason played nicely and got us off to a great start. We lost wickets at the top which is a concern. For us, we want to keep this momentum. Spending that extra bit of time getting in is important on these type of wickets. He's (Woakes) fantastic. He's a luxury to have down the order. We want to win all three games."

Root - Man of the Match: "We were off to a very good start. When the spinners came, we allowed ourselves to score slowly and still stay ahead. Stay calm (we told ourselves when those wickets fell). I told Woakes to take some time and build a partnership. He played exceptionally well."

Holder - captain, West Indies: "Disappointed. I thought we fought well. We dropped chances again, so we need to improve on that. In batting, we need to get partnerships upfront. Some soft dismissals. The pitch here has always been a slow pitch, so we knew it will spin. Hopefully we can get Gabriel fit going forward."

England seal series with 4-wicket win:

Woakes hits a six off Holder to level scores and bring up the century stand. Root hits the winning single, off Kraigg Brathwaite, to help England take an unassailable 2-0 lead with a four-wicket win with 1.4 overs to spare.

West Indies did look favourites at one stage when England lost 4 wickets for only 16. However, Holder erred in bowling out his spinners Bishoo and Nurse - the two responsible for the mid-innings collapse - as early as the 29th over, and then lost Gabriel to a side strain. Only three overs from his premier fast bowler didn't help, neither did the dropped catches - some tough, some not so much. Woakes and Root piled on an unbeaten 102 run stand for the seventh wicket helped England to a series win with a match to go.

England close in on series win:

England need 14 more and Root needs the same number of runs for his century. Can he get there?

Woakes registers crucial fifty:

With a couple of Kraigg Brathwaite in the 43rd over, Woakes brings up his second ODI fifty. Cannot have come at a better time.

Woakes, Root take England closer

Woakes enters the 40s and the partnership has crossed 60. He has done the bulk of the scoring in this crucial seventh wicket stand. And West Indies have also missed a chance. Rovman Powell, on for Gabriel, has put down Woakes at long-on. England are now 189 for 6, needing 37 more off 60.

Root keeps England afloat:

Root is proving to be key for England in this chase. With good support from Chris Woakes, he is taking the visitors closer. England are 168 for 6 after 37. They need 58 more. Can West Indies break this partnership soon?

Update: Shannon Gabriel is off the field and is seen in his training gear. Reportedly, he's unwell and won't take further part in this game.

Nurse picks up another:

England are now reeling at 124 for 6 at the halfway stage. Remarkable comeback from West Indies, thanks to their spinners. Nurse picks up his third wicket as Moeen Ali is out bowled.

Stokes and Buttler fall after Root fifty:

While Root took a single off Bishoo to bring up a well-compiled half-century in the 22nd over, England suffered another setback as Stokes fell in the same over, caught behind. The legspinner then struck in his next over, to dismiss Jos Buttler for a duck. Impressive fightback from West Indies. The visitors are 117 for 5.

Another for Nurse:

Nurse bagged his second wicket when he dismissed Eoin Morgan for 7 in the 21st over. The England captain played down the wrong line was was given out leg-before. He decided to use the review, but the umpire's call stood. England are 108 for 3, with Ben Stokes joining Root at the crease.

Roy falls after fifty:

Ninth ODI fifty for Roy, gets there with a couple off Nurse in the 15th over. But he falls soon after, finding Carlos Brathwaite at deep mid-wicket while attempting a slog sweep. England 87 for 2.

Root joins in:

Two back-to-back fours for Joe Root off Carlos Brathwaite in the ninth over. Roy continues to tee off at the other end, reverse-sweeps Bishoo for a four. England move to 69 for 1 after 10.

Positive partnership:

Fifty partnership is up, off 45 deliveries, after Roy hits two successive fours off Holder in the 8th over. Roy is now on 34 off 26 with 26 of those runs coming in boundaries. Root is happy to play second fiddle - 16* off 21 with one four.

Roy gets going:

After the eventful start, Jason Roy gets going with a flurry of boundaries. He has hit three fours so far and a glorious straight six, off Holder, while Root has scored 1 as England move to 31 for 1 after 6 overs.

Billings departs, Root and Roy almost:

Just the start West Indies would have hoped for as Billings departs in the first over. Shannon Gabriel finds the outside edge and Ashley Nurse nearly made a mess of it at second slip, but fortunately for West Indies and the bowler, the ball rebounded to Powell at first slip, who held on to the ball safely. Joe Root also gets an outside edge in the same over, but lands just short of first slip.

Roy then has a lucky break despite a mishit to mid-on. Carlos Brathwaite leaps to his left and almost pulls off a stunning back-handed catch. Roy gets another reprieve in the same over as he West Indies go up in appeal for an outside edge, turned down by the onfield umpire. DRS is used by West Indies but there isn't enough evidence or technology to reverse the decision. What an eventful start!

West Indies bowled out for 225

End of the innings, and West Indies still had 2.1 overs left. Plunkett cleaned up Nurse for 13 before Shannon Gabriel was run out as West Indies have ended up with a below-par 225. Should be an easy chase for England unless the West Indies bowlers decide to come up with something special.

Rashid strikes:

The leg-spinner is rewarded for his fine spell with the wicket of Jason Holder. The West Indies skipper fails in his attempt to clear the fence, gets a top-edge instead, and the bowler himself holds on to the catch. Carlos Brathwaite departs soon after, becoming the leg-spinner's second wicket. Rashid will have to thanks Jason Roy for his presence of mind as he relayed the ball to Sam Billings just as he was about to cross the ropes.

Carlos Brathwaite survives:

Plunkett picks up crucial wickets:

Mohammed departs soon after getting to his second fifty of the series. He too gets a leading edge and hands a simple catch to Rashid at mid-on. Carter follows soon after, failing in his attempt to go over the top. West Indies are 173 for 6 after 39 overs. There are two big hitters at the crease - Carlos Brathwaite and Jason Holder. Can they come to the party?

Carter positive, fifty for Mohammed:

Jonathan Carter isn't wasting too much time here, he has scored a run-a-ball 19 already. Meanwhile, Stokes is back on the field and he has been struck for a six by Mohammed, who brings up a 71-ball 50 with a maximum over mid-wicket. West Indies are 149 for 4 after 35.

Moeen strikes:

Moeen strikes to end a good stand. Brathwaite has to depart for 42, out stumped after being beaten by the flight. End of a 72-run partnership and West Indies are 118 for 4.

Taking on the spinners and a lucky break:

Mohammed goes down on one knee to dispatch an Adil Rashid delivery over the fence before hitting Moeen Ali straight down the ground for a four. And seeing that the West Indies batsmen are comfortable against spin, Finn is back into the attack now and he almost gets a wicket. A miscued pull from Brathwaite is put down by Stokes. To make matters worse for England, Stokes had to leave the field with a hurt finger.

Raining in Antigua:

A passing shower, it appears, but play continues for now. There is some wind as well and hopefully it will carry it away. Meanwhile, the fourth-wicket pair has raised the half-century stand, off 67 deliveries. West Indies are 98 for 3 at the halfway stage.

Steadying the ship:

Jason Mohammed and Brathwaite are building a steady partnership without taking too many risks. The calculated approach from the duo is good to see on this slow wicket. Can they continue in the same vein and build a good platform?

#Eng pacers have come out with a plan. Hit the back-of-length area consistently. Also thrown in a few full ones…

Another wicket:

A loose delivery from Ben Stokes and a loose shot from Shai Hope results in the third wicket going down. It was short and wide outside off, and Hope attempted an extravagant cut without any feel movement. The result was an under edge that landed in the hands of 'keeper Jos Buttler. West Indies slip to 46 for 3.

The first 10 overs:

It's the end of 10 overs and West Indies haven't had the best of starts. They have already lost two wickets and have only managed 35 runs. Ben Stokes into the attack now. Remember, he did not bowl at all in the previous game.

Steven Finn became the third fastest England bowler to 100 ODI wickets

100th wicket for Finn:

A short delivery does the trick for Finn, who dismisses Kieran Powell for 9, to become the third fastest England bowler to 100 wickets - after Darren Gough and Stuart Broad. He gets to the milestone in his 67th ODI, five more than what Gough and Broad took. West Indies are 21 for 2 after 7 overs.

Brathwaite survives:

Kraigg Brathwaite had a lucky break in the 4th over, put down by Eoin Morgan off Chris Woakes. He was early into a flick and the ball travelled towards mid-on, where Morgan put in a dive and almost pulled off a blinder.

Wicket: Lewis falls early

Evin Lewis off to a flier. He scores back-to-back boundaries off Finn in the opening over - first an authoritative cut followed by a drive over extra cover. The bowler has the last laugh though. He strikes in his next over as Lewis gets a leading edge to Sam Billings at cover while trying to flick one to the leg side. Kieran Powell arrives and he gets off the mark with a boundary. West Indies are 15 for 1 after 3 overs.

Toss and Teams: West Indies opt to bat

West Indies skipper Jason Holder won the toss and decided to bat first. According to him, the pitch has dried out and is likely to offer more help to the spinners. Eoin Morgan is of the opinion that the pitch would be better for batting as the game progresses and he would have preferred to bowl first anyway. So both teams got what they wanted as far as the toss goes and both sides are unchanged for this game.

Teams:

West Indies (Playing XI): Kraigg Brathwaite, Evin Lewis, Kieran Powell, Shai Hope(w), Jason Mohammed, Jonathan Carter, Jason Holder(c), Carlos Brathwaite, Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Shannon Gabriel

England (Playing XI): Jason Roy, Sam Billings, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan(c), Jos Buttler(w), Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Steven Finn

Build-up: West Indies face must-win situation to stay alive in series

Hello and welcome the the live coverage of the second One Day International (ODI) between West Indies and England at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. The confident England side will be hoping to seal the series while the hosts face a must-win situation in order to stay alive.

Eoin Morgan, the England limited overs skipper, said his team was keen to win all their matches in the Caribbean and reinforce their standing as one of the stronger sides heading into the Champions Trophy later this year. They took the first step towards that with a comfortable 45-run victory against West Indies in Antigua.

On a slow wicket, Eoin Morgan showed impressive adaptability, notching up his 10th hundred while the likes of Sam Billings and Ben Stokes also came good with the bat. When it was their turn to bowl, England seamers Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes were excellent with their variations, mixing the cutters, slower deliveries and regulation seam bowling to good effect, sharing eight wickets between them to help England take a 1-0 lead. The visitors will be looking to continue in the same vein, at the same venue which is likely to be on the slower side again.

For West Indies, Shannon Gabriel impressed with the ball, as did Ashley Nurse, but their inability to sustain the pressure, coupled with an off day for Devendra Bishoo, allowed England to post a sizeable total of 296, their first total below 300 this year. West Indies started well, before losing wickets in clusters. Their first three wickets were lost for only three runs while they collapsed to 251 all-out after being well-placed at 190 for 4 at one stage.

Jason Mohammed and Jonathan Carter, batting at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively, scored gritty half-centuries, but West Indies will be hoping for substantial contributions from the top order batsmen to take the pressure off the middle order.

As far as the teams for today's match is concerned, it remains to be seen if the visitors decide to rotate their squad. Should they opt to do that, left-arm spinner Liam Dawson, ideally suited to the surface in Antigua, is an option, perhaps in place of Steven Finn. On the batting front, Alex Hales is not yet thought ready to resume his opening duties following injury and Billings' half-century has made it hard to see, yet again, where Jonny Bairstow may be able to find a spot.

After an encouraging display in the first game, the West Indies' coach Stuart Law may keep to the same eleven and challenge the same players to go one better. Should changes be considered, all-rounder Rovman Powell and seamer Alzarri Joseph, a bowler of real pace, are the likeliest contenders.
