Hashim Amla will miss the final ODI against New Zealand in Potchefstroom on Friday with a quad-muscle strain. Dean Elgar has replaced him in the squad.

De Villiers has been banned for two ODI matches in terms of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct for slow over rates following the first match in the Momentum ODI series against New Zealand at Boland Park on Saturday.

South Africa were on track for their second successive big win over New Zealand when they claimed four second innings wickets on the third afternoon of the second and final Test at St George's Park on Sunday.

New Zealand were reduced to a pathetic 47/6 at stumps on Day 2 at Port Elizabeth. Dale Steyn, Rory Kleinveldt and Robin Peterson picked up 2 wickets each after Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis and Dean Elgar all hit fantastic tons to set a mammoth 525/8 for the Proteas in their 1st innings.

On South Africa's day of domination, Dale Steyn and Jacques Kallis crossed important landmarks to give the Proteas more joy.

South Africa took the opening day honours in the 2nd and final Test at Port Elizabeth. Hashim Amla completed his 19th Test ton and with useful contributions from skipper Graeme Smith, vice-captain AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis, helped the home team reach a commanding 325/4 at close of play on Day 1.
