So we have South Africa, who have played well throughout the tournament, finishing fifth in the tournament, romping home by 8 wickets in this play-off. A riveting contest awaits us tomorrow between Pakistan and Afghanistan, facing off for 3rd place. And then of course, the biggest stage of them all - the World Cup final between India and Australia at the picturesque Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Saturday...

Raynard van Tonder, South Africa captain: "I thought the boys did well with the ball and the field.. It was very nice to see guys step up and grab opportunities. We didn't play well in the quarterfinals, but the boys did well to comeback strong in the last 2 games. I did well in the last 2 games, but would have liked to score more in the middle overs. I'm sure all the boys learned a lot and we are going to take a lot from this experience going forward in our careers."

Saif Hassan, Bangladesh captain: "The wicket was good. We should have put a good score on the board so it was really hard for our bowlers to defend. We recovered well, and unfortunately Afif got out or else we could have got a decent score. These have been good conditions for us and they've given us good exposure; we don't get these conditions at home so hopefully this experience will help us in future. Afif and Shakil did a good job today and we are proud of them."

15:44 Local Time: A clinical performance from South Africa. Jones, in his second game in the tournament, picked up 5 wickets and had Bangladesh reeling early on at 33-5. Afif and Shakil stitched a 96-run partnership together and a few more useful contributions from the lower order helped Bangladesh post 178. Bangladesh got 2 wickets early on but never really showed the aggression and penetration required to defend a mediocre score like 178. The partnership between Rofles and skipper van Tonder closed it out for South Africa, and they finish off the tournament with a win to end up fifth - the last U-19 game for several of the players in the side who won't be eligible for the next edition. Spare a thought for Bangladesh, however, who have performed admirably throughout the tournament, beating England to reach this play-off. However, they have been beaten by a better team on the day...
