Matthew Wade led from the front in a big run chase. 194 was stiff, but a true pitch and short boundaries meant it was definitely possible. Wade and Short gave a great start, adding 120 runs for the opening wicket. The Thunder were always playing catch up unable to separate the duo. Short fell but Wade ensured he had things under control. Rainbird threatened them with a double-wicket-four-run 18th over, but Bailey took charge and helped the hosts steal 22 runs off the 19th to get ahead of the game, before eventually finishing with five balls to spare.
