Sigh! What a cliffhanger! SRH needed 18 off the final over and a half-fit Andre Russell somehow managed to tie the game for his side as Warner failed to punish a leg-stump length delivery off the last ball of the game. The excitement went up a million notches though as the game went into superover, but it came crashing down at a rapid pace for SRH as they lost 2 wickets in 3 balls in the superover. This game had a lot of hype with both these sides looking to be a possible contender for the fourth spot in the points table, but this win will do a world of good for KKR on two counts: A) They will have a cushion where they can afford to lose one or two games here and there and B) Lockie Ferguson. If that name doesn't give you confidence, I wonder what will. KKR fans will be absolutely delighted to see the raw pace and smart variations from the Kiwi quick who single-handedly won the game for his side with a brilliant superover and as Baz, mentioned during his interview, he could well be a very key component for KKR for the rest of the season. Eoin Morgan - Winning captain - It's nice to be a part of the superover, it gives you a glimpse of what the guys are all about; especially in high pressure situations. For Lockie Ferguson to come into his first game of the tournament, to perform the way he did in the twenty overs and then in the superover, I think he was outstanding. The hunger and the drive he's shown off the field while waiting for an opportunity is pleasing. We have been striving to get wins off the last couple of games, it didn't quite work out. We ran into a Mumbai Indians side that was very very strong. Today, it was more competitive, but it's great to perform and get over the line. The batting order will always remain dynamic, it'll depend on a lot of match-ups, which team we will feel will play at that given time, given the nature of the side, with Andre, DK and myself in that middle order, we want to maximize our opportunity in every game. It was (the talk with Andre Russell), he went off the field, we thought he was injured, but he came back and said he could bowl. So, it's?obvious we trust a player to deliver. He came off a short run-up, he does it so often but didn't manage to execute as well as he would have liked. I thought he showed a lot of character to come back and get us through to the super over after not starting as well as he would have liked (with a no-ball). He's been a superstar performer for us, has been such an integral part of the franchise for such a long time, we need Andre Russell to be fit. I think that's the nature of our middle-order (on he partnership with? Karthik), Andre plays in his own way, when he strikes, he does so fast. Myself - one who likes to hack the ball around, DK, who plays such a beautiful class game. So, hopefully we can gather some momentum after this win.

Lockie Ferguson | Man of the Match: The team has been going good. Pleasure to get an opportunity and do well. We’ve obviously had a big sit with no cricket which is interesting back home. Had a couple of warm-ups and a lot of training sessions. Always getting David Warner, especially start of the Super Over was satisfying. It’s great having Morgs, we’ve both been part of this. Was good to use of his experience. Will take this win, enjoy tonight. It was a tough win on a very tough wicket.

David Warner | losing captain: I don't know where to start. That was too good a game. We probably leaked a few too many towards the back end but for us it's about trying to finish games. We've come too close in the last three games and we haven't got across the line. I am quite disappointed. I stick by my decision (of bowling first). Obviously coming away from Dubai, this wicket here looked like a nice batting wicket and wasn't gonna change too much. To be honest, it didn't. It held up a little bit in the middle overs but at the end of the day, there's no excuse. I thought 165-170 was a par total and you saw that towards the back end, we lost wickets at the crucial time again. He's (Williamson) got a niggle near the top end of the adductors, so hopefully he gets some physio treatment in the next couple of days and comes up for our next game.

This was the quicker googly from Rashid, DK misses the flick but manages to steal a couple of leg byes as the ball deflects wide of the fielder at short square. A better effort from the fielder (Sandeep Sharma) would have made things interesting, but wasn't to be. KKR win the superover and continue to fight for a spot in the playoffs. This is KKR's first win in the superover and what better game to get that

Didn't look like going that way when SRH needed 18 from the final over. But then Morgan had the choice of either Kuldeep Yadav or a limping Andre Russell to bowl the 20th. He went for the latter and it nearly backfired big time - Warner took him for three boundaries, but couldn't apply the finishing touches. With 2 needed from the last ball, they sneaked in a leg-bye and didn't show any inclination to at least attempt the second run. Not sure what could be the reason. Going back to the chase, it started well with Bairstow and Kane Williamson (promoted to open) taking 58, but Lockie Ferguson, playing in his first match, struck twice to derail the chase. Warner stood firm even as wickets tumbled at the other end - he stayed till the end to enforce a super-over.
