Jos Buttler | Player of the Match Feels fantastic to contribute to a win. Was a bit nervous at the halfway mark, wondering if the innings will result in a win or not. The last few months have been wonderful, so just carrying on from there. Family time has helped me to relax and refresh. I always have confident coming into white-ball cricket, that's where my strength is. It (diving catch) was a good one for me, delighted to take that and it was a good phase of cricket for us. Sanju Samson: It feels really good to win. With Pollard there at the end, the game was still on and we did well. Playing a quality team like Mumbai Indians, we know they will come after you. Have to trust in your death bowlers and that's what I had. We knew that a couple of wickets and things would turn. Have to trust our bowling attack, there are a lot of thinkers and it was about just trusting them. As the tournament goes on, we have to learn our lessons and move forward, whether we win or lose.

Yuzvendra Chahal: I felt a bit bad (for not getting the hat-trick) but it is part of the game. Our main aim was to win this game. It was an interesting match, would have been nice if I had got that hat-trick as I haven't picked one yet. The plan was to bowl the googly to any batter who would come in as there was good bounce and the ball was also turning. I see the situation and what the team needs, should I go for dots or wickets and then look at line and lengths accordingly. There was no dew in Pune and there was no dew here, let's see what happens when we bowl in the swimming pool (Wankhede).

Rohit Sharma | Losing captain: I thought they batted pretty well to get to 193. Buttler played an exceptional innings. We tried everything to get him out but he played really well. I thought 193 on that pitch could have been chased, especially when we needed 70 off 7 overs. But these things can happen as it is early days in the tournament, we can learn from that and come out better. (The positives are) Bumrah bowling well, Mills too, Tilak's batting was exceptional and so was Ishan's. I think one of those two should have batted through. The other side is big and we wanted to make the batters hit to that side, but it happens when you come up against a quality batter like Buttler. He (SKY) is a key player for us. Once he is fit he will come straight back. These finger injuries can be tricky and we want to give him time.

The leggie should have had a hat-trick too, if not for Karun's dropped catch at slip. A fine all-round performance from the Royals who rode on Buttler's fab century to post a competitive total. Royals the only team to win by batting first this season. They're certainly bucking the general trend, aren't they?
