So the hosts are on the board and we head off for a short break. But we'll be back on Saturday for the first double-header of the season. Do join us for all the action. We had an excellent day with most of our fantasy picks doing very well. Did you have them in your team? Follow #FantasyHandbook for some well made suggestions from our experts. For now, cheers and bye..
Faf du Plessis - Really good, the first 6 overs were very important and to get 70 odd was a real professional performance, that put the pressure on them. The ball swung a bit more for us today than yesterday and that's when Forde becomes a dangerous weapon. We have the spinners, someone like Chase bowls well against left-handers - the spinners could settle down on a rhythm?against new batters. Confidence is big thing in this tournament and we needed to do things better tonight. Catching is difficult?at this ground and it was pleasing to see us doing well there.?
Rovman Powell - It was a tough night and we didn't stick to our plans as a batting unit, losing 4 or 5 in the batting PP, we'll always struggle. It was going to be tough, but a few guys did bowl well. 200-run targets, we can't win in the batting PP, but we can lose and we did exactly that. Young was a big positive with the bat. We need to keep on improving, we have a young team and we'll need some time to get things right.
Matthew Forde | Player of the Match - I'm carrying a bit of form since a while, looking to do well this CPL. My mother is from here. Just tweaked something(on being off the field), but I should be back for the next match
22:53 Local Time, 02:53 GMT, 08:23 IST: A one-sided match with the Kings being completely dominant. Chasing 202 was never going to be easy, but it was a disaster right from the first legitimate delivery when Rahkeem Cornwall carelessly ran himself out. Wickets tumbled to the impressive Matthew Forde and there was very little resistance, except for Young's 48 which came late in the piece. A lot depended on captain Rovman Powell but he too fell for a duck. Three wickets for Forde and the rest chipped around usefully. Points on the board for the hosts and that sets up an electrifying weekend?for the local fans. As for the Royals, it's time to go back to basics and figure out ways of improvement
