A pretty convincing win for the Warriors but they will want to have a look at their bowling and try to be more disciplined. As for the Tallawahs, not much went their way today unfortunately. Our base is the lower-middle order. We have a couple of overseas guys at the top. We’re confident of any situation. Hetmyer and Keemo Paul got us out of trouble. Very pleased with Paul, he batted really well despite not getting opportunities to bat in the previous games. We were very lucky to get wickets in the powerplay, that put us in front. I want to look at myself to improve, that’s the standard I set for myself and the team. I think Motie bowled well, he got a little unlucky as two-three catches just went over. Boundaries are small and we have to accept it, bowlers are going to go for runs. It’s difficult, life is all about challenges, I’ve been given this opportunity and I’m grateful to Guyana. I want to do my best for Guyana and their fans. I want to give the joy back.

Brandon King | Tallawahs captain: We went for an extra spinner but there wasn’t much in it for them in the end. We didn’t bowl as consistently as we wanted to. We could’ve probably chased it down though if we kept wickets in hand. They didn’t start very well either so we knew we could catch up if we kept some wickets in hand but was very hard to recover after losing 5 wickets in the first 7 overs. Getting to 170 from where we were was quite incredible. Credit to Allen and Wasim. Alex Hales is ready to go from here on.

Romario Shepherd | Player of the Match: My hardwork is the key to my success. Keemo Paul played a fantastic innings under pressure. Fitness is a very key part of my game, I train very hard and try to condition myself, especially on days like these when it’s very hot. It’s about having that fight in you, we’ve been going to the final and semi-final but haven’t made it. It’s about keeping up the fight.

13:33 Local Time, 17:33 GMT, 23:03 IST: It looked like it was going to be a one-sided affair but Wasim and Allen kept their side in the game, even if only by a thread. After posting a mammoth total on the board, it looked like the Warriors would run away with a massive win as they picked up 4 wickets in the powerplay. Romario Shepherd was outstanding as he bowled a double-wicket maiden. They lost their 5th wicket in the 7th over and it looked all but over. The Warriors looked like they were at the top of their game, especially in the field as they held on to some sensational catches. However, Imad Wasim and Fabian Allen were not going to go down without a fight. They stitched together a 97-run stand for the 6th wicket and struck some lusty blows to keep the Warriors on their toes. Just when it looked like the Tallawahs had an outside chance though, Tahir sent Wasim packing. Despite a few costly overs at the death, the Tallawahs were too far behind in the game to catch-up.
