That was our plan as a team, we have to silence the crowd and we did that well tonight. Potentially that move cost the Scorchers the win as Rutherford found three boundaries in that over. That stand set up the chase but the Scorchers came back with wickets and were ahead after the Surge saw the dismissal of Warner. Billings too failed and Rutherford who has not had a great tournament so far showed why he is such a feared man in this format with a match-winning knock. Morris was outstanding on a fast and bouncy surface with a three-fer but just couldn't help his team over the line. Hat-trick of wins for the Thunder now who stay 2nd on the table.
