The fact that this was the least one-sided of the encounters in this series sums up Sri Lanka's predicament. Australia have absolutely steamrolled them. They don't want a contest; they want to win. 3-0, and even that scoreline can't possibly encapsulate the enormity of the void in quality between the two sides. Warner couldn't have asked for a better platform to bring the Warner of old back, so that's perhaps the best thing that's come out of this series for them - Warner, pre-Newlands, is back. Aaron Finch | Australia captain: It was pretty clinical once we got into a routine. The way the bowlers set it up for us over the last two games, it was outstanding. To restrict Sri Lanka, who are a dangerous side, to 120 and 140 was exceptional. I think every game is a different challenge and a different surface, so it's important to bring in your best, in terms of preparation and mental side of the game too. When your backs are against the wall, it's important for the players to stand up. When you've got two spinners in the side in Australia, it's different for us, and Agar and Zampa have done extremely well. It was unanimous when we thought about it (the two spinners). Agar is fantastic in the field and with the ball. Warner was outstanding - not getting out in the series is incredible, that's what the best players in the world do: once they get in and they get on top of an attack, they keep it going, so really proud of the batting group and everyone to be fair. Looking forward to the game with Pakistan on Sunday. My toe's alright, to be honest (smiles)

Niroshan Dickwella, proxying for Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka Captain): Ya I think so... I think he must be in the dressing room (asked if everything was alright with Lasith Malinga). We haven't been up to our standards. We haven't performed at our best and if we don't, we will end up like this. We learnt a lot in this series, but we couldn't even compete properly. Pradeep and Sandakan were great with the ball, our fielding was alright, but the batting could do with some improvement.

David Warner | MoM and MoS: More importantly for us as a team it's fantastic. Our bowlers made our job easy at the top in the second game. I'm happy with my form personally. It helps getting back into form with the small total on the board. Fewer risks to take. We are looking ahead to take on Pakistan at the SCG, so looking forward to that. Lots of pace in that attack, and hopefully I'll find the gaps and not the fielders in the series.

22:30 Local Time: It's been uphill, but Sri Lanka are still comfortably short of the win. At no point did the Aussies look in any trouble whatsoever. Australia were up and about early on, looking quite solid early. Finch turned the heat up in the powerplay and sacrificed himself for the cause, while Warner, the in-form Warner, played the sheet anchor (that's right) to see Australia through to the end.
