Michael Bracewell, Wellington skipper: I would like to thank the crowd for staying out in the cold and drizzle and supported us in the men's and women's game. Thanks a lot to everyone out here. Logan's kept us in the game in all departments and we got a little bit of momentum towards the end with the bat and that's what kept us going. From a bowling point of view, its a very pleasing performance from the boys and lucky that our plans came off today. We spend a lot of time when people weren't watching and then you pull off things like (van Beek's catch) that. We had support from everyone and it feels really nice.

Craig Cachopa, Auckland skipper: I think it was a par score and I thought it was a fantastic bowling performance from Wellington. They have a quality bowling line-up and credit to them, they bowled well. Unfortunately we couldn't chase and that's how it goes, we played well in our last game against them and today, unfortunately, is not our day.

Earlier today, Sophie-Devine led Wellington team sealed their final win against Auckland and now the men's team back it up with a comprehensive victory over their counterparts. The Wellington staff rush onto the ground and the celebrations seem to go long into the night as they jump and holler in joy. A very well-deserved win this for the home team. The chase never got going for Auckland with wickets tumbling at regular intervals and despite Guptill's long vigil at the crease, he kept running out of partners and was forced to take a few risks which eventually resulted in his downfall and ultimately, the team.
