Under-19 cricket is fun. It's fun because it's young, raw, the adrenaline is high, the maturity isn't always there so you see teams losing games when they had it in their bags. The umps really have to be vigilant with the possibility of the youngsters crossing the line as the excitement level is generally high. We see a lot of talent from across the globe that takes the game forward when time comes. What a high electric final we witnessed. Both Bangladesh and India pushing each other to the limit, it was a real intense game that an avid cricket fan loves. So much better than a massive run chase on a batting beauty. From Japan's entry at the World Cup, Rakibul's hat-trick, The Mankad, Tyagi's burst against Australia and what not, we had a lovely time bringing all the action. Bangladesh fans will be happy to have found talents like Shoriful, Sakib, Rakibul, Mahmudul. They will also be delighted for having something over India in a long time with the defeats of their senior men in the 2015 World Cup final, 2016 World T20, Nidahas Trophy etc.. They will savour this moment. Jaiswal, Tyagi, Bishnoi showcasing immense potential will please the Indian contingent.

How Bangladesh won the final?

They won the toss, asked India to bat and made a strong statement in the very first over by coming out aggressively. Jaiswal, India's best batter, was forced to play the anchor with Saxena throwing it away. The Bangladesh pacers kept the pressure on bowling tight lines. Rakibul's spin troubled India as well. Just as the boys in blue were looking to up the ante through an off colour Shamim, Sakib was brought back to break the 94-run second wicket stand. Shoriful returned to prise out Jaiswal and the floodgates were opened. India lost their last 7 wickets for 21 runs to be bowled out for a mere 177. The onus was on Kartik Tyagi to get India off to a good start, but the pressure of defending a low total meant Tyagi was erratic in the name of searching for wickets. Sushant Mishra had a horrible time with the new ball bowling beamers, also got a warning.

The openers got the side off to a flier and then came a determined Bishnoi. He got two quick wickets and Emon had to walk off with a troubled left hamstring. Bishnoi reduced them from 50/0 to 65/4. In came the cool Akbar Ali. The Indians had their tails up at that point, but he blocked and quietly took the singles. India did turn the heat on, but Emon's return to the crease eased pressure with him striking the boundaries and getting a partnership going. He saw off Bishnoi despite not being able to meet the googlies. The clouds started to gather and added to the drama. Ali realised they were already ahead on DLS par score, so he saw off Kartik Tyagi, blocked the rest and knocked the ball around for ones and twos. The rain got the target down to 7 runs and they happily hopped to the target to be crowned World Champions.

If the Indians were honest enough, they would agree Bangladesh were the better cricketing side today. Their pacers were so off colour compared to their peers. The batting wasn't all that great either. It was Jaiswal with the bat and Bishnoi with the ball. The rest weren't really upto the mark, unlike Bangladesh who hunted as a group.

The crackers go off in the background. Akbar Ali collects the trophy, his team-mates swarm around and the celebration begins. They all are eager to get a piece of the trophy. All smiles as they enjoy these moments which they are going to remember for a long, long time. Now time for the official team photograph and also to flaunt some dance moves.

Akbar Ali | Bangladesh captain: It's like a dream coming true. It's all about the hard work that we put in the last 2 years. I can't thank the coaching staff enough for the support both on and off the field. It's purely hard work. Some of our bowlers were emotional and were pumped up. What happened after the game was unfortunate. I would like to congratulate India, they have been brilliant throughout the tournament. A big thanks to all our supporters. It's been a very good experience for us, it's just a beginning for us. Hope it can be a stepping stone for our future cricketers.

Priyam Garg | Indian captain: It wasn't our day. The boys put up a great show but the results didn't go our way. Very happy with the way we fought, they (bowlers) gave their best. Toss didn't matter, there was something in the wicket. Bangladesh's bowlers started well. Our batsmen played well too but we hoped to get a few more runs. 215-220 would've been a good score. 178 is not good a total. Our bowlers responded pretty well and Bangladesh batted well. Very pleased with our bowlers. It's a good experience playing here in South Africa. Prior to the World Cup, we played a series here and that was also good.

Yashasvi Jaiswal | Player of the tournament: I really enjoyed the tournament. I had a good experience here on how to play in these wickets. I knew I had to play my game. Looking forward I am thinking about what I am playing next?and it's about the process. I want to stick with that.

Akbar Ali | Bangladesh captain and Player of the Match: When I entered, we needed a partnership. I told my partner that and we shouldn't lose a wicket. The planning was simple. We knew that India won't let it easy, they are a challenging side. We knew it would be a difficult chase. I am a person who wants to keep things simple. In the first half, I didn't get much chance. So was waiting for my chance.

Parvez Hossain Emon: Obviously a great feeling. It was a great game. We are the champions now. It was a tough situation but I had to do it for my team (referring to how he battled on with an injury).

Richard Stonier | Bangladesh's strength and conditioning coach:?It's probably?great 12 months of my life. There is so much respect. We formed a great relationship. My dream has come true. This is for the boys. This moment is theirs. We worked on two things. I bring so much of energy and showed the boys how best they can be, they have proven it. Thank you very much for the support.

Rakibul Hasan: I am feeling fantastic. We had come here to prove something and we were able to do that. It is an unbelievable feeling. The experience was very good. We had plans and worked hard for over a year now. The main thing was to execute our plans and not look at the opposition.

But let us get back to the cricket please. Such a brilliant effort from Bangladesh. They came a month before the tournament started before any other team had reached. That tells you how serious they were to get the cup. Massive credit to strength and conditioning coach Richard Stonier for bringing in unbelievable amount of energy in the warm-ups and preparation. He egged them on and they came out with intensity right from ball one. Shoriful started it all. He was in Jaiswal's ears when the batsman pushed the first ball to mid-off, beat him next two deliveries and had a lot to say. India were stunned by the amount of aggression these boys brought in. They owned their bowling effort and then started well with the bat, but how cool was Akbar Ali - the Bangladesh captain. Unbelievable amount of coolness at the crease despite a rampant Bishnoi plucking wickets at will. He took the MS Dhoni route of taking the game deep and playing on the opposition. Priyam Garg and Co. didn't have answers and the rain added to the drama.

18:14 Local Time, 16:14 GMT, 21:44 IST: Look at the scenes. They are sprinting on the field and running all around in joy. Hang on, there seems to be something said at the Indian players. Their coach (Paras Mhambrey) wants them to come off. We see an altercation between a few players as well. This is ugly from whoever initiated this. You work hard, play hard to win.. Fair enough, but crossing the line in a way to sort of shove each other is not done. The cameras take the focus away. Few of the Bangladeshi players are running around the boundary rope with flags and a stump in their hands. The Bangladeshi fans get the hang of things as well.
