Kohli (2/2): (On Padikkal) I saw him play and told Simon (Katich) that this guy has got some serious talent because he's got reach, a great eye, a great balance. It's very difficult for the bowlers to continue?bowling same lines and lengths against a leftie. The way he bats ... very clean shots. You don't feel like he is taking risks. I just kept talking to him about building an innings. If he can bat longer for the team, it's gonna benefit us.?Today he carried from 40 to 65 odd which helped the team eventually. He's a smart guy, he understands the game well and he responds to the feedback very well. The more he keeps learning, the better it is for RCB.?

Virat Kohli | Winning captain (1/2):?Very important two points. The kind of game we had last time around, it is very important to back that performance up. It was a bit warm, but coming from Dubai, this breeze was feeling like a luxury to us because we've nothing in Dubai. We were feeling?more hot and humid there. Tough day, against a good team, two points in the bag on a tricky pitch, we are very happy with the performance. (On his batting form) It's a funny game, an amazing game and I was telling Jos (Buttler) when I batting out there? that I love this game and hate it too. It's something that you need to understand as a player. And when you play so much of cricket, you do feel like you are not in control at times. But you feel disappointed?when the team is not doing well.?When the team is doing well, you feel like you have some more space to figure out. This tournament gets away from you very quickly. In the past, we have experienced that. When you start losing initially, the games start going past very quickly and suddenly you realise you are 7 or 8 games into the tournament and you have no points. When you start well, it's important to continue that momentum. We'll look to do that.

Yuzvendra Chahal | Player of the Match: I am enjoying this a lot as the grounds are slightly bigger. We can give more flight here and I am just varying my pace and my lines. When you get a wicket off your first ball your confidence is high and I know they won't take a chance against me then I vary my pace. I think Sanju's wicket (was special) as he is in good form, also I was able to hold on to the caught and bowl. Playing here is good for spinners as the boundaries are big and we can flight it more. I love to play at the Chinnaswamy, I miss playing there but here you can bowl your googlies and wide deliveries.

Devdutt Padikkal: It's a different feeling (batting alongside Virat Kohli), I have watched him so much since I have been small. So, to bat with him is an unreal feeling and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. He just kept pushing?me. I was getting tired a little bit, I was cramping up, he just kept pushing me to finish the innings. He kept telling?me that I have to play till the end and see the team through. That's how he bats and that's what he was trying to convey to me as well. I am just playing on the merit of the ball, I am watching the ball as closely as I can and trying to make the decision. It was really hot, especially after fielding for 20 overs to come out and bat, it was pretty hard. It's important that we keep playing the way we are playing and keep getting the wins under the belt. Not anymore (when asked if he was pinching himself), maybe the first innings, now it's part of the job and I just want to keep doing well for the side and keep winning games for the team.

Steven Smith | Losing captain: We could have done a lot better. Probably didn't get enough runs on the board. It was a good wicket, we kept losing wickets throughout and couldn't get a partnership together early on. I thought Jofra bowled exceptionally well again, the leggies bowled reasonably well but just didn't have enough on the board. Our top three should be doing the job a lot more, in the last two games we haven't got going and that has cost us. We have to take it a little bit deeper us three and then we have enough power, we have seen what Tewatia can do, Jofra and Tom Curran as well. He (Lomror) played nice, under pressure having lost quite a few wickets and he was able to build throughout the middle, I thought he played a really mature innings. There are few areas we have to work on, we will go back and have a look at it. Pretty hot. This is a sort of ground when you run a hard two you take a little bit longer to get your oxygen back. It is warm but that is just part of playing the game, we have to put up with it and do the best we can.

17:46 Local Time, 13:46 GMT, 19:16 IST: Clinical chase and Royal Challengers Bangalore move to the top of the table with this win. Chasing a par score, Devdutt Padikkal set the tone upfront. The 20-year-old notched up his third half-century in his fourth IPL outing. He was smart to see off Jofra Archer and then go after the other RR bowlers. The stroke play from the southpaw was top-class. And, he had his skipper guiding him from the other end. After losing Finch cheaply, Kohli walked in to prove a point and silence his doubters. He took his time to get his eye in and was happy to play second fiddle to the youngster. But, once he found his groove, the Royals had no answers against the chase-master and RCB ended up hunting down the total with five balls to spare. Earlier in the day, the Men in Red did well to restrict the Royals' batting line-up to 154 - courtesy Chahal's three-for. RCB's death bowling wasn't good, again, but Kohli should be pleased with his team's overall performance today.
