Sam Billings | Kent captain: Can't really put it into words to be honest. A lot of hard work behind the scenes. To a man, it's been incredibly impressive. It's for everyone. It's for the fans as much as us. Winning breeds confidence. We have been one of the best sides in the country for the last 2-3 years. We've earned that through the hard work that everyone's put in. It's exactly what we're about - young guys coming through and giving them an environment to be able to come in and flourish. We set such high standards as a squad and keep pushing each other. A word on Darren Stevens - just ridiculous, isn't he? He's 45 years old, how's he not fed up of cricket anyway but he keeps doing it in all formats of the game. He's a club legend and you can't keep him out of the game. Just going to enjoy this moment together. It's for everyone, it's for all the support.

Lewis Gregory | Somerset captain: Obviously disappointing. Didn't get it right towards the end with the ball. Those 15-20 runs make a big difference. And then it spun with the ball. We've improved over the last couple of years especially with the ball. There are a couple of aspects where we can improve which is exciting. Back's not been amazing to be fair. Little bit of old age I think creeping in. The support we get is unbelievable. Unfortunately we haven't got a trophy to show for it but it means the world to everyone.

Jordan Cox | Player of the final: Unbelievable. Was focused on not getting another first-baller. Just decided to nudge it around for the first 10 and from then on just push on. Unfortunately it doesn't go down as my catch (referring to Gregory's dismissal). Just good to get the win if I'm honest. It's great to be around those big dogs [Darren Stevens, Sam Billings and others] in the dressing room.

Samit Patel | Blast Player of the Year: It was a little bit distraught we didn't make Finals Day. Overall it's been a good year. Just being more aggressive. More attacking. Just trying to take the attacking option (what's worked). We're lucky enough now, we get a lot of cricket around the world in the winter. Pick up a few leagues. The way Cox played tonight, very exciting for English cricket.

Joe Denly: Incredibly special. You want to reach these kind of days. Been a long time coming. Have played some good cricket over the last few years - not quite got over the line. To get here tonight is special. After my second over I didn't think I'll bowl another one to be honest but pleased to get a few wickets. Qais has been fantastic for us in the middle overs. Delighted to do a job with him in that period. It's been a process of building for a couple of years in white-ball cricket. We thought we'd scrape up to 150 but Cox got us to the high 160s. It's hard, both are equally special when we won it in 2007, we had a fantastic team led brilliantly well. We had a team of superstars back then, we had great South African players. Here we got a good mix of young and old guys. Nice time to make it all worthwhile. He's had a few spectacular catches this year, none as good as that. That's as good as I have ever seen, it's a shame it doesn't go down as his catch [on Cox's catch]. He's a phenomenal fielder.

Darren Stevens: The boys have been outstanding the whole tournament, I'm pretty lost for words actually. Is a good question [how does he keep going?]. These young boys keep spurring me on, I just love the game and I ain't gonna stop yet. Unbelievable. That's as good as anything I have seen on a cricket field (Cox's performance). He (Jordan Cox) has been outstanding?throughout the tournament?and been Mr Consistent. The fans have been outstanding, they started halfway through the first game and are still buzzing. We can't thank them enough.

Somerset lost control with the ball in those final three overs which went for 49. And then got strangled by spin in their chase, as Denly and Qais Ahmad found good purchase for five wickets between them. Well a couple of them came off full tosses but they bowled well nevertheless.
