Temba Bavuma | Winning captain: Sounds very good (to hear the word champions). Obviously it is a successful campaign when you are the champions. It started well with wins but we were still trying to find our way. We were just trying to top up on all the facets of our game and make sure come the final we are able to produce. The coach had to hold on to his chair (at five down), things were difficult to be honest. The wicket became harder and harder to bat on. We knew we were a partnership away and in the end we were able to see it through. I am super proud to lead these bunch of guys. They react positively to everything and probably coming into the tournament we were considered as favourites with the names on the sheet, but to try and keep the guys motivated is sometimes a bit of a ask. I can only congratulate them. The management also made our job easy and as a leader I am super proud.

Rabada: It was great with the way Fortuin started with a wicket in the first over against a team that has been playing well and batting well upfront, we stuck with that pressure and we were really ruthless. That gave us a chance and we didn't let that pressure slip away. The wicket was a little bit invariable and all we had to do was be disciplined. They were under a lot of pressure and we restricted them to 107, at the end of the day if we had bowled a few soft balls and conceded 120 then it would have been a different story. I was just practising my rhythm in yesterday's practice session.

Mulder: We kept it nice and calm. Ball was not coming onto the bat. On this wicket 115 was par. We batted well to get there. It was the long boundary but against the off spinner that was the easiest thing (highest percentage shot) to do on that wicket (the six he hit). It was comparatively difficult against the fast bowlers. That over was the key. Didn't think I would play a single game. Really happy.

18:15 Local Time, 16:15 GMT, 21:45 IST: At the halfway mark it seemed like a one-sided affair but Dolphins ensured that they made Lions huff and puff before conceding defeat. The surface had plenty of assistance and the bowlers had a field day. Hendricks got them off to a flier with a couple of sixes off Subrayen in the second over and kept things under control with Bavuma. But once the partnership was broken, wickets started tumbling and Dolphins kept the lid on the scoring as well. Mulder then took matters into his own hands and played some fearless cricket to take his side over the line.
