Netherlands record their first win in the Super League, also their first win against Ireland in ODIs since 2007. A historical day indeed for the Dutch and these kind of wins can be morale-boosting. Got to feel for Ireland though, they had this game under their control at multiple points but just couldn't close things off. Credit to the two teams for giving us a pulsating game of cricket. Pieter Seelar: I'm ecstatic. This game had a bit of everything in it. We knew this would be a dog-fight of a game and that's exactly what it was. Where it all started was when we got the wicket of Stirling. I was about to come on then but the pacers were doing well, and hard to score off. I had to give it a go (at the end) and it just came off. We bowled a lot of wides but we didn't miss often in our lengths otherwise. I thought Dockrell was looking settled but Glover gave that wicket which was a game-changer. We all know Timm can bat, the way he went about it was fantastic. For both sides, the lower order batted much better than the top order.

Andrew Balbirnie: Losing three wickets upfront on a tricky wicket doesn't help. Similar to the UAE series, not much support for Paul. It was a brilliant game of cricket but unfortunately we were at the wrong end of it. We just need to turn things around on Friday. We just need to back him (Stirling) up with support, he's been in good form. It's going to be an old-school ODI series with the wickets being slow and low. They were slightly better than us today on this pitch, we have to be better next game.

Tim van der Gugten | Player of the Match: It was a very tight game. At half-time, we probably thought we had about par. It was a hard wicket to start on, we started well in the Powerplay but then lost wickets in clumps. It's hard to stop a rut on that surface. We always felt that we were in it, one good over or a wicket away, because as I said, that wasn't an easy deck to start on.

18:03 Local Time, 16:03 GMT, 21:33 IST: What a cracker of a game we've just witnessed! A throwback to those classical ODI thrillers of the 1990s. It had several ebbs and flows, and at the end of it all, just a solitary run separated the two sides. Ireland were in a heap of trouble early in the chase, but Stirling and Simi put them on track with a top partnership. Despite the former's dismissal after a well-made fifty, his partner kicked on and found an able partner in McBrine. With just 24 needed off 30 balls and four wickets left, the visitors seemingly had this game in the bag. Seelar had other ideas though. He took a punt by bringing himself on in the 47th over, struck twice and Ireland's chase tapered off thereafter. There was drama in the final over but the Dutch held their nerve to get across the line by the barest of margins. Ireland will be kicking themselves, they've just squandered a golden chance to pocket 10 Super League points.

Singh was always going to come back for the second run, the throw is good though and his dive isn't the perfect one. The bat bounces as the bails come off and that's the end of him, and probably, Ireland as well. Was a slower ball on leg stump, helped away behind square leg but Singh can't get the two he wanted.
