Rishi Dhawan: It was long pending and we've finally done it. Really happy. We had played a few games here, so we knew that the pitch was good and the outfield was very quick, so if we batted deep, we could chase it down. I was telling Shubham not to take any pressure, just get a single and I'll handle the pressure. Feeling really good. There is a lot of hard work involved in this. Also the administration has improved the facilities in the last few years, which has also helped us a lot. It's a combined effort.

Shubham Arora | Player of the Match: Credit to the management and support staff, they backed me through the tournament. They allowed me to play my natural game. Plan was to maximise the powerplay and I played my game. It worked and then I just built my innings from thereon. When I got to my hundred, I was determined to stay till the end.

Vijay Shankar: Fantastic final. We batted really well. It was challenging to bat in the first couple of hours. To get to 314 from 40/4 was a great achievement. We did bowl well in patches. These things do happen. We've really played very well throughout the season, so a lot to take home. Himachal played outstandingly well, credit to them. I think they both (DK and Indrajith) played really well.

Tamil Nadu might have started believing when they finally broke that big partnership but skipper Rishi Dhawan was in no mood to let the game get close. He had ensured an excellent tournament with both bat and ball, and that form showed in his approach, as he straightaway tore into the TN bowling. Arora also kept his cool and by the time light intervened, the result was already a foregone conclusion. Shankar's men had a chance of winning a rare white-ball double but their bowling and fielding let them down big time. It was almost as if they felt like they had won the game after posting that total. Complacency can bite you big time and Himachal Pradesh ensured that it did.
