Shimron Hetmyer: On a day like today, the Royals played really well. It happens, we have to back ourselves to get over this loss. The team atmosphere is still pretty positive. The concern is a few players went down with niggles, but we know what went wrong today. We have another chance tomorrow now.

Kyle Mayers: We mentioned it earlier our team is a great team. We just had one bad game, but we came out today and did well. Rahkeem hasn't got a big score since coming back from injury, but we just kept encouraging him, we know how dangerous he can be. Much needed extra day's rest. The guys have been working hard, but we can now rest and come back for the finals.

Rahkeem Cornwall | Player of the Match: In the start, we wanted to give ourselves a chance to see how the pitch was going, we could always make up. I had my eye on the century, but happy with the 91 to put my team in a good position. The way Simmonds bowled in the powerplay helped us get over the line. I still back myself with the ball, I am in the team as an all-rounder. We backed ourselves throughout, we had one bad game last time but we didn't let that affect the team performance.

A combination of scoreboard pressure and poor shot selection meant that the Warriors were never in the game, chasing a stiff target. They lost the dangerous Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the very first over, knocked over by an inswinger from Kyle Mayers. Fellow pacer Ramon Simmonds then picked up the wickets of Shai Hope and Shakib Al Hasan. The Warriors had lost four within the powerplay, and since then it was about going through the motions. Keemo Paul, Odean Smith and Romario Shepherd fell victim to some ordinary batting, as they tried to slog the spinners but holed out. Skipper Shimron Hetmyer also fell in the 15th over, ushering the curtains as the Guyana Amazon Warriors were bundled out with more than two overs to spare, falling short by 87 runs.
