Nicholas Pooran | Player of the Match: I knew I had to get the job done tonight. This is my role as the number 3 batter. I have been batting nicely in this tournament, it is my ability and my talent. It is just one of those nights where I was striking it well from the first ball. I am confident, we need to turn up tomorrow and do it again as professionals. Credit to the bowlers for restricting them below 160 on this surface.

Kieron Pollard: Happy to win the toss, never know what the Sharjah pitch might throw up. We bowled well, they had 20 odd after the powerplay and congrats to the bowlers for that. We can be cleaner on the fields, we have to come 24 hours later to improve on that. Delightful to watch Pooran and Fletcher. Fletch wasn't getting enough runs but he is very energetic, we had to back him and the experience of Pooran was enough to win us the game. I think Rashid did just enough (laughs), hopefully we can spot him outside Dubai Stadium tomorrow and pick him again.

Yusuf Pathan: We didn't get enough runs on the board. We failed to show intent because of the nature of the wicket. We couldn't predict what it would be like. We needed to show more intent and MI did really well in the powerplay. If a partnership happens on a wicket like this, the way their batters played it was very difficult to stop. We need to field better and think over what we need to do as a team.

It was a standard chase for MI Emirates, as they chowed down the target of 152 with nearly four overs to spare. They lost an early wicket in Waseem, and Lorcan Tucker couldn't fire today as well. But the two Caribbean boys- Andre Fletcher and Nicky Pooran allowed them to chase this on a canter. Pooran was swinging it leg side for fun, and Fletcher too made the most of a good surface after a tepid start. Ealier in the day, George Munsey got a fifty, and there were handy contributions for Raza and Powell, but MI Emirates didn't let them run away with it.
