Kane Williamson, NZ captain: Our guys were good. Was a tough surface. Not a lot of control of ideas and methods. That made a difference. We saw that in the previous match, it has been unique, better to play this way in this match. The teams have been getting more exposure at the highest level, helps to develop as a team. Having that exposure is always a great experience to learn from. Need to train again and play again. The same discussions all again. Have been respectful about the conditions, we'll rest and play again in a couple of days.

Brian Masaba, Uganda captain: Has been a wonderful experience to play at this level. A high performance environment in this tournament. It's done wonders for us back home, laid a platform. Have tried to interact with the players and tried to pick their brains. We have been looking forward to what happens next and helps us get better. I have to say thanks to all teams, they have been happy to share their experience, they have tried to help us wherever they can. It's been nice to see the boys in the field, the young fast bowlers have inspired guys back home. They come from a humble background, for me it has been a humbling experience. They love us here, we love them back. Very happy that WI spectators have been really receptive of our team.

Tim Southee, Player of the Match: It was a pretty clinical performance, was nice to get a win. It has been a bit tricky, just try to hit the stumps with variable bounce. Disappointed to find ourselves out of the tournament. We were outplayed in the first two games, we have a proud record in World Cups and that has now come to an end. Had a nice break heading into this World Cup. Always a dream to play for NZ, still enjoying it.
