Tazmin Brits | Player of the Match: We didn't have so much of a bad powerplay, I thought it was pretty good and we didn't want to lose quick wicket again, so I went back into my shell because I wanted to build a partnership, she (Bosch) actually took a bit of release of me and started hitting a few boundaries. I am never satisfied with what I'm doing, I keep wanting more but I think it was actually a difficult wicket out there, so I am proud of myself. There are few shots that I don't have in my book, I definitely have to add, but they took off the pace so I was trying to run harder, but no speed on the ball was difficult. To represent your country in a world stage like this,it means a lot. Let's hope we go through to the semi-final.

Laura Wolvaardt: Really good to get the win, the way we started with the ball was excellent. We would have liked to chase it down a little quicker, we did try and there was a message that was sent out but didn't quite get there, but win is the main thing. We will wait for the other results and hopefully we have done enough to book a spot (in the semis). Kappy has been incredible with bat and ball and today her economy rate was crazy, every game she plays she has a massive impact whether with the bat or ball. A little bit (are you a nervous watcher?), I prefer to be out there batting and don't like it on the sidelines.

Nigar Sultana: The way we started in the powerplay it wasn't great. When you don't get a good start in the powerplay, it will be difficult. We tried to build a partnership, but we played a lot of dots and against this South African line it wasn't good enough. There are lot of young players in my team and Rabeya bowled brilliantly in the last 4 games, Marufa and Shorna as well. Lot of positives we can carry forward and we will reflect on what went wrong after we won the first game and try to improve on that. She (Sobhana) has been consistent for the team and it is a very good sign and Ritu Moni also gave us a wicket and Fahima as well who loves to challenge herself. It was not in our cotrol (talking about the tournament which was initially scheduled to be held in Bangladesh), but a lot of people came here to support us and it is quite amazing to see them and support us. Though we couldn't do well, they supported us and I feel so sorry that we couldn't win it today for them.

Although they managed to remove the inform skipper Wolvaardt early, they dropped at least 4 catches and missed out on a couple of run-out chances. With this win, South Africa move to the top of the table. The damage was pretty much done in the first half as South Africa kept things tight in the powerplay. Conceded just 21 in the powerplay and although they failed to pick wickets, they managed to restrict the run-flow through the middle overs.
