India have inflicted back-to-back series whitewashes in ODIs, first on West Indies and then now on Ireland. Some of the young players got their opportunities in this series and got a feel of how things work at the highest level. Pratika Rawal was particularly impressive and impressed one and all with her strokeplay and temperament. Mandhana continued with her purple patch and was brilliant with the bat. Ireland, on the other hand, came up against some world-class players and were found wanting on occasions. Smriti Mandhana | India Captain: (On the positives from this series) I'm really pleased that all the girls got a good game-time. As much you do it in the nets, going out there and scoring runs matters the most. The 100s and 50s from the batters have been really good. I'm happy for them and the bowlers also executed their plans well. Near perfect game for sure, winning the toss and going into bat and scoring 400-plus is a really good achievement. One thing is that I told the bowlers to bowl them out in the 31st over and they achieved that. (On her intent from the start of the innings today) It was pretty much planned today, not many matches you go out there and you start taking on from the get-go, the wicket was good and the outfield was fast. Sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't, I'm happy that it came off today. There are so many things, as much as want to enjoy the series win today, we want to be in the loop for the World Cup. Maybe we will have a reminder tomorrow on what we want to work on. We really want to work on our fielding and running between the wickets. These two things will be crucial and if we are good in these two departments, hopefully, we can do something special in the World Cup.

Pratika Rawal | Player of the Match & Player of the Series: It's a good start to the new year, so I'm very happy. It's always good to score runs and doing it for your country is always a privilege. It has boosted my confidence and I'm happy that we won the series. I have only one celebration in my mind where I kiss my helmet. After the WI series, I wanted to get a hundred in the WI series as well so I was visualising since then. (On Smriti Mandhana) It looks so easy when she bats, I don't mind taking a backseat when she bats, I enjoy watching her bat.

Gaby Lewis | Ireland Captain: There are a lot of takeaways from this series, some of them were playing for the first time in India. It's been great, a lot of learnings for the girls, coming up against world-class players. (On India) They put on quite a show today and it was good to watch. Generally consistency with the bat and ball, some players took their opportunities, so there's definitely some positives to take from this series.

Amol Muzumdar | India Women Head Coach: We had a back-to-back series, against West Indies and Ireland, plenty of positives. The T20 series was competitive against WI and then we went on to whitewash WI in the ODI series. If you look at the positives, the batting looks fairly settled but we need to have another fast bowler as well. We don't set targets at all during batting and we go as per the flow of the game. It's fantastic to see us making some records while I have been in charge. It's very satisfying but we want to continue the process. (On Pratika Rawal) It's a breath of fresh air, top of the order with Smriti, she is calm and composed and she looks settled. Hope, it continues for a long time. (On promoting Deepti up the order today) When we had a decent start, 20 overs into the game and it was important for Richa to get an opportunity. Because Harleen has had her opportunity and Jemi also got a hundred so we pushed Richa up the order and she played really well today.

Deepti Sharma: When you lead a bowling unit, it feels good. I like to take up challenges. I focus on keeping it wicket-to-wicket. In the second half, the wicket was slightly slower and I was getting turn and I bowled accordingly. Whenever the juniors need help, I help them and guide them. The next focus is WPL because there's no other upcoming series.

17:17 Local Time, 11:47 GMT: There was never a question about Ireland chasing down 435 but you expected more of a fight, especially after they had batted their quota of overs in the previous two games and gone past 200 on both occasions. But the leather hunt in the first innings might have just taken the wind out of them when they came out to bat. They lost a couple of early wickets but there was a 50+ stand between Forbes and Prendergast. The pair batted with intent and kept the scoreboard ticking at a good rate, but once that partnership was broken, the rest followed in a procession. The Indian spinners were very good with the ball as they picked up 6 wickets between them and bowled Ireland out for the first time in the series. Early on, hundreds from Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal propelled India to their highest ODI total.
