A meek end to what has been a fantastic tour. With the crowds thronging the stadium, a keener contest wouldn't have done them any harm. But such has been the slide the Windies have slipped down over the past few years. I'll save that rant that for another day. Eoin Morgan: "Extremely satisfied. All through the series we have shown different sides to our team. On a difficult and tricky wicket our batsmen in Hales and Root did really well for us. Today epitomizes how this side has transformed for us. It is a great position to be in. There are guys coming in who did not see themselves playing in the side and they've done really well for us too. There are places to improve, fielding being one of those. The conditions back home are very different and we are looking forward to the Champions Trophy. (On Hales) It is always nice to have a bit of time off the game and it has done a world of good for him. It is a struggle for us to get 15 players and it is going to be tough to select them but is a lovely challenge to have."

Chris Woakes, Man of the Series: "It is always nice to perform well with the ball. The more you play and the more experience you gain, you feel at home. We have some great players in the team and the squad. There are players pushing us all the time and it is a nice place to be in. You know the conditions back home are going to be different and we know what we have to do out there. We have a bit of a break now and are looking forward to the long season at home coming up."

Jason Holder: "It obviously was a disgrace. We were very poor in the field. We did come back well in the end but just did not perform with the ball. Frustrated because we thought we were doing well some time ago. The way is only upwards for us. We need to sharpen up in the field, we need to take our chances and our half chances and then look to take it on from there. The way things have gone in the past, we need to make the most of what we have got at the moment. It is a big series against Pakistan coming up, we need to find ways to get the runs with the wickets slowing up in the Caribbean."

Alex Hales: "Very emotional time for me. The past six months have been very frustrating especially with the injury as well. I knew when I did not go to Bangladesh I knew there were people out there to take my place. I knew what I was losing out on. It was a little difficult to start off on this wicket. Our plan was to attack the spinners and that's what we did. Certainly my most important century."

A real pasting. For the first time since 1991, England have whitewashed the West Indies. High-fives, back slaps and the customary uprooting of stumps. The 'new' England have outclassed the 'new' West Indies. Up against a mountain of runs to get in order to restore some pride, the Windies got off to the worst possible start. And never really recovered from the trauma. One batsman followed the other into the dressing room and in the end it was a no show out here in Barbados.
