So, Australia earn the bragging rights before these teams clash in the World Cup. It proved to be a humdinger of a practice match. We have two lined up for tomorrow too. Let's hope they will be equally good. Join us for those matches, until then, good bye and take care!

Finch: Fielding was sloppy overall. We want a couple of fielding sessions in the next couple of days. It was a good batting performance to get 300. Steve played an unbelievable knock. Even with the ball, our plans were spot-on. Wicket got a little drier, Nathan Lyon bowled a very good spell. It was a very good wicket and it had something in it for everyone. We want partnerships to get a little deeper and we want to improve our fielding.

Jos Buttler: Some good work from the bowlers. Good to see Ben Stokes bowling a few overs, Plunkett taking some wickets again. I thought the spell from Tom Curran was brilliant upfront. We lost a couple of guys to a few niggles, but overall we're in good shape. Wood went for a scan, we are waiting for the reports. Dawson hurt his finger in the field and could've batted if it was a World Cup game. As a precautionary measure, we chose to rest him. I think the wicket was a little bit slower than some of the pitches that we've played on before. I thought we were in a position to win the game but disappointing when you get out.

James Vince: Disappointed not to get over the line. It's a warm-up game and the guys got something out of it. The wicket was a little two-paced, but we managed to get a few runs under our names. He (Jos) took all the pressure off me and scored 50 off some 30 balls. And as the rate was climbing, he brought it down to run-a-ball. We should've kept a bit more wickets towards the end but that innings of Jos was outstanding. Really good effort from the bowlers. We lacked a partnerships with the bat. I think they are all pretty minor (about the injuries) and hopefully, they are all good.

18:29 Local Time, 17:29 GMT, 22:59 IST: All smiles in the Australian camp, they have come out on top against England after an eternity. After being asked to bat first, they put up a good score on the board courtesy a fabulous ton from Steve Smith. And in bowling, they dismissed the explosive opening pair of Roy and Bairtstow rather quickly. Vince was holding one end up and Buttler played a blinder at number 5. He smashed a fifty in just 30 balls but Richardson out of nowhere got one to jump off the deck and forced a false shot from Buttler. Once he departed both Moeen Ali and Woakes looked good at the crease. Woakes in particular looked like taking his side home. But he succumbed through a silly run-out. And in the end England were left with 15 to get off the final over. It proved to be too hard a task for them and they fell short by 12 runs. Fair to say Australia won the big moments in the match and that was the reason they came out on top. Hang on for the presentation.
