Imad Wasim | Karachi Kings captain: (How the game became so close) I have no idea to be honest. There was a period of 14 balls when I didn’t get the strike and the other guys kept getting out. It happens. You don’t win T20 games that easily. Local guys have been playing for a while, but the overseas boys haven’t played much coming into this tournament. We need to improve our finishing with both bat and ball, otherwise I think we did fine. I want to dedicate this win to Dean Jones. If he were here, he would have been very happy. We’ll try to win the final for him as well.

Shan Masood | Multan Sultans captain: I think firstly the credit must go to Karachi. They bowled well and put us under pressure. We wanted to fight till the end with whatever total was there on the board. But we go again tomorrow. We made a lot of mistakes but still got to 140. If we don't make so many mistakes tomorrow then we will be good to go. He (Tanvir) has done really well and hopefully he can take that confidence into tomorrow's game.

Babar Azam, Player of the Match: It was a smooth game (at one point) but that's the beauty of T20 cricket. Things can change at any time. I thought the game was done but I guess until you actually finish the game, it's never over. It was a bit two-paced, the surface, but perhaps got a bit better under lights. They had the game in the bag for most parts but gave Multan Sultans a sniff and what transpired was some nail-biting stuff. Babar Azam was the key in the chase and until he was there it looked like a walk in the park but his wicket in the 17th over triggered a collapse. Ilyas was left with 7 to defend in the final over and he did an exceptional job. Imad Wasim's last ball boundary took it to the Super Over and there it was Tanvir v Amir. The two left-arm pacers took the same approach - trying to bowl yorkers - but it was Karachi Kings' Amir who managed to nail most of his in the right slot. He also had to thank Rutherford's two hits off Tanvir that gave him a cushion of 14 runs to defend the Super Over. Hang around for the presentations..
