Pre-game, we did tell you that the context of this series from India's POV will be about how their young boys cope with the pressure. Well, today's run chase was a nice little box ticked, as the next generation ensured a nerveless finish. South Africa will be disappointed at letting some precious Super League points slip. One more game though, the decider, and we move to Delhi for that game. Winner-takes-it-all of course. Hopefully we get a proper thriller to sign off this tour. Shreyas Iyer | Player of the Match: When I went into bat, felt that the wicket was playing good. The talk between me and Ishan was to play the ball on merit, build a partnership. Tomorrow is going to be a travel day, and then the match. Let's see what is in store for me (regarding his fitness for next game). I'm not someone who changes according to the bowler. I am someone who changes on instinct and believing in myself.

Shikhar Dhawan | India captain: Worked perfectly well for us, thanks to Keshav that he chose to bat (smiles). Glad that dew came in at the right time. Ishan and Shreyas batted so well, that partnership was so nice to watch. It was coming on nicely, but it stayed low. Plan was to take on the bowlers in the first 10 overs as we knew it could get difficult in the middle overs. When the dew came, you could see that it got easier. Very satisfied with the bowling unit, they are all young and these are good learnings for them. Especially Shahbaz. All the young boys, I'm so proud that they showed so much maturity.

Keshav Maharaj | South Africa captain: We didn't expect dew to be such a factor here, that's why we opted to bat. We tried what we could, Shreyas and Kishan played very well. We thought the track will get slower and lower as the game progressed. But it got easier to bat after the 30th over due to the soft ball and dew that came on.

Ishan Kishan: Feeling good, it's 1-1, so very excited to play the decider at Delhi. Really happy about with the way we contributed to the team. It is my home ground, there were too many people watching. When I was fielding they were asking me to get a hundred today, unfortunately I missed it. No worries, I'm just happy that my team won the game today and maybe in the next game I will give my best and make my team win again. It's difficult here sometimes, because I played so many matches in Ranchi, it is not easy for the new batters to score runs, so we were looking to play according to the merit of the ball and not to play any harsh shots, and it's a matter of putting the pressure on the other team as well and the positive mindset helped a lot. Nortje, Rabada are too quick and sometimes the ball isn't coming on properly and stopping a touch and the next ball it was coming really quick. So, I was planning to go for it if it was near my chest and not to play a pre-determined shot if the ball is not there. So I was just trying to put the ball in the gap and it went my way.

21:00 Local Time, 15:30 GMT, 21:00 IST: As clinical as it gets from India's second-string brigade. An effort the A-listers would be proud of. Now, 278 wasn't intimidating but on a pitch where the older ball looked tough to score off, it certainly was a challenge. More so againt this youngish Indian batting line-up. The task at hand compounded when senior pro Dhawan and a fluent-looking Gill departed inside the first powerplay. Given how things panned out last game, SA were surely sniffing blood at this stage but that's when the matchwinning partnership between Kishan and Iyer came to India's rescue. Both were fluent from the get-go, and being excellent players of spin meant that they were able to thwart whatever challenges the visitors threw at them. Kishan capitalised fully on his favourable matchups, destroying the left-arm spin duo and later on, also took the pacers apart as well. Iyer was his usual calm self and this mayhem allowed him to pace his innings well. Kishan was unfortunate to miss out on a century, but by the time he fell, the result was all but decided. Samson gave Iyer company for the remaining formalities, and the latter eventually got to a deserving ton. SA will be disappointed with this loss, they would have wanted another 15-20 runs perhaps, but it's also true that dew did make the chase a tad easier for the Indians.

Parnell to Samson, 1 run, well, they are actually doing this in singles. Sure the purists will love this, not the modern day folks. Fuller length ball, Samson gets a faint inside edge on the flick and this goes off the back pad towards short third man

Parnell to Samson, 1 run, slower ball, fuller, Samson gets forward and jabs this back towards Parnell who has a needless shy at the striker's end. Hits the stumps but Samson was well in. The batters get a single off the ricochet
