Avishka Fernando | Player of the Match: (translated from Sinhalese) It wasn't an easy surface, the plan was to bat with the rest of the team. Coming back from injury, this was an important innings and tournament for me.

Shoaib Malik: There are no words to describe these kind of moments. Great feeling and credit goes to the management and players. If someone takes my test and compares me with a 25 year old... my hunger is still there, I am fit and I field in all the hot spots. He (Thisara) never panics and whenever any player goes up and says something, he listens to him. He is not arrogant and listens to everybody. When a leader has confidence, you finish on the winning side and congratulations to him for winning the third title.

Vijayakanth Viyaskanth: Too beautiful (a feeling). I played LPL two years?before but this year I worked hard and happy?to contribute to the?team. I was playing school level cricket few years back and now I am playing LPL, I cannot believe it.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz: Exciting moment for me and all the Jaffna fans. The start was very good and I am happy to win. There's pressure in a final and they (Colombo) came back really well, but our boys held their nerve and got us over the line. I think he (Avishka) would be the player of the tournament, he's outstanding and being a back to back player of the tournament is not easy.

23:12 Local Time, 17:42 GMT: Jaffna Kings made the game way more exciting than it should have been, but what is a final without some drama? In the end, they held their nerve and got a few favours from some indisciplined bowling to get over the line with four balls to spare. Choosing to field first, Jaffna did well to strike in their first over. Chandimal and Asalanka stitched a partnership for Colombo, but the spinners came on and constricted the scoring rate. Both those Colombo batters got starts but threw it away, and it was Ravi Bopara who scored a handy 47 by upping the ante late to help Colombo end with 163. In reply, Jaffna got a superb start with Gurbaz and Fernando adding 49 off the first four. The Afghan opener was out soon after, and Afif Hossain fell cheaply as well, but Jaffna steadied the ship with Fernando and Samarawickrama. On any other day, these two would have finished the game off for their side, but the nerves of the final prompted Jaffna to do some silly things, crumbling from 128/2 to 154/7. Colombo sniffed a way back with Lakmal picking three at the death, but ultimately the difference between balls and runs was too short for them to cause a late upset. A weak final over from Rajitha aided Jaffna, who got over the line with four balls to spare, to make it three titles in a row for them!
