Theunis de Bruyn: It is nice to win. We would have liked to keep them out of the semifinal and play Durban, but we are happy to be in the semifinal. We will take the momentum into tomorrow's game. These playoff games are different and we need a special effort from the guys. Mendis has been playing superbly since he came in for Jacks and hopefully he can do that tomorrow as well.

David Miller: Obviously we wanted to go out and win the game but we got into a sticky situation, so good to qualify. They batted really well but there were areas where we bowled badly. They needed 163 to make it to the next round and had it not been for Buttler, they wouldn't have been able to topple that mark. Pretoria also made some poor bowling choices which allowed Paarl to get out of the jail. They had managed to put it beyond Paarl in the first innings itself when they piled on 226 on the board. Paarl started off on a poor note and lost a few wickets. Morgan played a cameo and Buttler looked off colour. But just when it mattered, Buttler managed to help his team to past 163.
