Dasun Shanaka: We have been playing well in the recent past. Playing the WC Qualifiers is pressure but we didn't feel any pressure today. We would have bowled first, there was moisture and our pacers get the ball to swing, taking early wickets is our plan. The openers have been doing well, Dimuth coming back.. he takes the game into the middle overs and allows the batters to bat around. We could have bowled better with the new ball and got a few more wickets. We know what Hasaranga can do.

Muhammad Waseem: We started well but didn't get the early wickets. Also, didn't bowl well in the middle overs. There was moisture early on but they played well, some balls swung but their openers handled it well. I thought we could restrict them to 260-270 but gave away too many towards the end. We got a good start when myself and Aravind were batting, but we lost one wicket and collapsed soon after. Naseer is a great talent and the future for UAE. He has to learn to bat 50 overs and had he done that then he would have scored more.

Wanindu Hasaranga | Player of the Match: I'm really happy. Took my 50th wicket today and this five-for makes me really happy. When we were batting, the wicket was really good. After that, the ball was gripping and that's the benefit we had. I always try to bowl wicket-to-wicket. In these wickets, if you do that, you have 50-50 chance of taking wickets. Our batters batted really well. 355 was a brilliant score. Kusal played very well and so did Sadeera. Dimuth and Pathum started really well. End of the innings, myself and Charith, we ended up with a good score.

15:59 Local Time, 13:59 GMT, 19:29 IST: Chasing 356 was always a tough ask for UAE especially against this Sri Lankan attack which has plenty of variety. There were a few batters who got starts but none could carry on and go past fifty. They were going well after Mustafa departed early but the introduction of Hasaranga put a spanner in their proceedings. The leggie was simply unreadable for some of the UAE batters and had three wickets in quick time. Hameed and Naseer added a 48-run stand but Theekshana broke that and the rest just fell to the guile of Hasaranga. Sri Lanka's ace spinner ended with career-best figures of 6 for 24 and together the spinners picked 8 out of the 10 wickets to fall.
