This league is made for players like that. He showed great composure. That partnership (between Milind and Sams) was vital for us. A win like this gives you a lot of confidence. Aaron Finch | SFU captain: It was an outstanding innings (from Sams). We did things right for a good part of the game, but sometimes in T20 cricket the margins are fine. The fielding was the difference probably. To be able to come to Morrisville and get these facilities was incredible.

Daniel Sams | PoTM: I was just trying to watch the ball and hit it if it's in my zone. This surface was slow and a bit inconsistent so you had to get used to it. We were on the back foot but managed to bounce back.

Milind Kumar: Special innings for me. Do or die match for us, glad to be contributing to the team. I have been getting out pretty early. This match they sent me up and asked me to take some time. Incredible (atmosphere), doesn't feel like we are outside of India.

What a day for Milind. He hadn't got to double digits in 4 games, but TSK promoted him today. People were calling for his head at one point, but repaid the faith of the management as he turned his slow start around smashing 28 runs off his last 14 balls and all of those came at a critical time. We often hear players talk about the Super Kings management and the faith that they have on players. Somehow they get those performances out of the players in crunch times!

TSK leaked 51 runs off the last 4 overs in their bowling effort and then were off to a poor start with Carmi le Roux and Haris Rauf breathing fire. Milind Kumar was stuck at one spot. Balls were being eaten for nothing on the board. Conway gave them a decent start from his end in the powerplay. Miller fell early and so did Santner. 92/5 in the 14th over with Milind on 24 off 28 balls. But he took on Shabad to gain some momentum. Sams came in and smashed the ball from the get go like he was batting all day on what actually isn't a straightforward pitch for batters. They smartly targetted the 15th over bowled by Stoinis to gain momentum - 17 off the over. Finch turned to Rauf early because he had to break the stand, but Milind managed to hit a first ball six to put pressure on the bowling side. 16 came off that over too and then Sams smashed Shadab for a hat-trick of sixes to put TSK ahead. Stoinis gave them a scare but they eventually crossed the line.

Plunkett to Gerald Coetzee, 1 run, slower delivery, lofted over cover and the roars from the Super Kings. They are through to the playoffs. They looked down and out but they find a way to rise, like only they can. Oh this franchise!
