Chasing a stiff target, they lost Chandimal in the very first over and they ended up losing half their side in the powerplay. The new-ball bowlers - Rajitha and Ngarava - picked two wickets apiece and Samarakoon scalped the other one. Mind you, this was a slow track and things got worse for Kandy with the introduction of spin. Shakib and Shamsi took two wickets each and Akila Dananjaya wrapped up the proceedings. Ashen Bandara struck a couple of sixes in his 19-ball 27 and Udana hit three fours but even that didn't help Kandy to get to triple digits. This is Kandy's lowest total in the LPL. Earlier, a special innings from Tim Seifert powered the Titans to 180 - a big total on this surface where stroke-making was tough throughout the day.
