Rovman Powell: We talk about improving. We were a little flat in the first game. We had some rust in the first game. We were 60 percent in the first game. Now, we are operating at 70-80 percent. Credit to Akeal, no wonder why he is the number 3 ranked bowler in this format. He has done the same against top sides as well. He bowled wicket to wicket and did his job. Cricket isn't that easy here and teams need to play well. The Guyanese crowd have been superb.

Brian Masaba: Tough day for us. We were outplayed in both departments. We must take lessons. We need to understand what can we do better as a batting unit. There were some positives in the bowling department. The way we bowled at the death. Hopefully, we can build on it. It is a huge challenge. If we have to get better, we need to play more games against such opponents. Good lessons to carry back home. We love having the fans. They have supported us through thick and thin.

Windies would be elated as they have picked up a big win with harder tasks awaiting them in times to come. NZ must be hurting and they will have their chance against the hosts as well. Afghanistan have been playing on a different pedestal as well. So, the hosts will have to conjure up at least one from the next two games to make it to the next round. For Uganda, it is a harsh learning curve. At the highest level, the competition is stiff and Uganda boys would have learnt it today. This is the group alongside group A which has seen massive tectonic plates being moved as Afghanistan overcame NZ and that too by a huge margin. Things would be very tricky going forward.

Akeal Hosein (4-0-11-5) | Player of the Match: I think I needed this. In the nets and in the previous series, I felt like the ball was coming out of my hand good. I think I was doing everything right in the nets but I just wasn't getting the rewards. Just have to stay calm and it'll be my turn soon. (Favourite wicket) I think I'll go with the regular finger spinner one, that was my favourite. It's a lot of hard work (to perform at this level), especially when you start getting success. The way the game is moving, guys are going to study you and they are going to come up with different plans. So you always have to stay one step ahead of them every time. (Bowling in the powerplay) For me, it's about trying to react to what the surface is doing and try to plan out your over, that's the key. Even though you are getting the ball to move both ways, if you don't plan out your over, then you can end up in a mess. It's about good lengths and try to plan the over well. (Bowling four overs on the trot) I don't mind, I am happy to bowl wherever the team needs me. When you are in that good form, you just continue and bowl out four overs.

He bowled accurately and attacked the sticks. All five of his dismissals were either bowled or LBW. Uganda just couldn't find a way out to counter him. That meant there was no way out. The other Windies bowlers also extracted the movement that was available. Earlier, Windies managed 173 on the board as everyone in their line up contributed with the bat.
