Once the Dragons put up 201 on the board on the back of a terrific unbeaten century from Shivam Singh, they were always the favourites at the halfway stage. During the run-chase, Nishanth was run-out early. Lokeshwar was going strong from the other end and stitched a 61-run stand with Kousik to keep his side in the game. But once Kousik departed, Lokeshwar was also nipped out in quick succession and the Panthers were pushed on the back foot. Chaturved played a cameo but Chakravarthy got rid of him with a smart piece of bowling. It all went downhill for the Panthers from there as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and crumbled under pressure. Warrier and Ashwin took a couple of wickets each while Chakravarthy and Bhati were also impressive. This victory propells the Dragons to the third position on the table and they have made it to the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Panthers are knocked out of the competition with this loss.
