No twist in the tale as Melbourne complete the 174-run chase with four balls to spare and five wickets in hand. Melbourne bowlers did a fine job in the death overs to restrict hosts Sydney to 173 and then Cameron White, leading from the front, hit a fine 61 to guide the chase. More importantly, with this win, Melbourne will now exchange spots with Sydney Thunder in the points table - jump one position to fourth - and keep their campaign alive.

Spin introduced early but Khawaja hammers a couple of boundaries and a six off consecutive deliveries to pick up 14 from Doherty's first over. Breezy start for the hosts, 32 for no loss after 3 overs.

Meanwhile, Watson looks in brutal mood as well. He's hammered Doherty for two back-to-back sixes in his second over. The left-armer has already given away 31 from his two overs.
Big wicket this! Gannon comes back into the attack and gets rid of the dangerman Khawaja for 62. Outside the off delivery, the batsman was hoping to send this one over the ropes but the ball lobbed up in the air, long enough for McDermott to settle under it and complete the catch.
Sydney 118 for 2 and Andre Russell is the new man in.
Goes down on one knee, through the covers, the fielder in deep puts in a dive but can't save the boundary. Half-century there and Watson raises the bat to acknowledge the cheers. Sydney 146 for 2 at the end of their 16 overs.
Comedy of errors! Russell is out hit wicket. Short pitched bouncer that caught Russell by surprise. The batsman ended up losing his balance and eventually knocking off his own stumps. Unfortunate dismissal for the West Indian. Gone for 16 off 9.

Bravo has bowled an exceptional last over to deny Sydney any late burst. Four runs only but he also dismissed Watson and Hussey off the final deliveries of Sydney's innings to keep their score restricted to 173 for 5.
Renegades have made a good comeback in the final few overs. The way Khawaja started and Watto carried on, Sydney were set to post a total just shy of 200 but the bowlers pulled up in death. Having said that, 174 wouldn't be an easy chase either.

White had beautifully turned this chase in Melbourne's favour despite losing the openers early. But Russel has helped Sydney made a terrific comeback by removing both the set batmen in a space of three deliveries. Too late in the day, maybe? You never know! 10 required off final 12.
