That could be the game! What a catch by Krunal Pandya running back to send Andre Russell. The top edge went straight up but needed some catching as it was swerving and swirling around, but not for one moment did the elder Pandya take his eyes off. Narine has come, but Karthik smashes two boundaries to bring the equation down again.

10 off 2 overs bowled by McClenaghan and Markande and the pressure is now on KKR. Bumrah has two overs left. Will be difficult against him if he gets it right that is. The other 2 overs have to be split between the Pandya brothers, Markande and Ben Cutting. Remember that Narine is yet to come for KKR.

The short ball has worked against Nitish Rana. There were two men in the deep for the miscued pull and he finds long leg. Pressure catch but Bumrah clings on. Rohit is very happy. Enter Andre Russell!

Uthappa is cutting loose now. Ben Cutting the bowler to suffer. Four consecutive boundaries and Uthappa brings up his maiden IPL fifty this season. A look to the skies to thank the almighty. He is now putting KKR in a good position to chase this down. MI need his wicket and some inspiration in the field.

Uthappa looks to cash in on the drop. A huge hit for six against Krunal Pandya and then Rana back-cuts a quicker ball through backward point and the partnership is just gathering momentum. Time for Markande, Rohit?
KKR finish strongly at the timeout
Markande has dropped a sitter to give Uthappa a life. An easy catch and looked like he took his eyes off it at the last moment. Shelled and Hardik Pandya the bowler isn't happy at all. Could be a costly drop!

The Pandya brothers into the act. A slower ball and it is miscued straight up in the air, the elder one settles under the skier and suddenly KKR have two new batsmen at the crease.

Chris Lynn gets greedy and falls. After smashing two pulls off McClenaghan he attempts a third and finds short fine leg. Such a soft dismissal.

Four boundaries in four balls and that sets KKR on their way. Lynn with two boundaries while a pacy searing delivery cuts Lynn in half and Ishan Kishan can't glove it. Then Gill drives McClenaghan straight down the ground.

Yet another promotion for Shubman Gill. Last game he batted at 4 and took his side home. Today he is opening with Chris Lynn. A calm opening over from Mitch McClenaghan where he gives away two singles.

Two edges from Hardik Pandya beats short third inside the ring and then he swings wildly and loses his bat which lands somewhere near square leg. 181 is all MI can get. They would be disappointed for they were 95/1 after 10 overs. Still there's a score on the board and they have won their last 6 games against KKR.

The last over by Narine goes for 12 as Duminy smashes a six over mid-wicket. MI now aiming at 180+. Prasidh Krishna will bowl the final over of the innings.

After Surya got out, the Pandya brothers were united at the crease but Narine separates them getting Krunal caught at long-on. Whenever there's a semblance of a partnership, KKR find a way to get a wicket. All the onus now on Hardik and Duminy to take MI close to 180-190.

The heat and humidity has taken a toll on Suryakumar Yadav. He was struggling under the severe conditions and plays a tired-looking shot to edge to the keeper. Andre Russell has another in his comeback over. KKR fighting back nicely.

With spin not working for him, Dinesh Karthik throws the ball to Andre Russell and the Jamaican delivers. A slower delivery is edged into the hands of short third man by Evin Lewis and the dangerous opening stand is broken. Rohit Sharma enters at 3.

The next two overs after the powerplay sees the introduction of Kuldeep Yadav and another over for Nitish Rana. But the runs keep flowing, lovely use of the feet from Surya to whip Kuldeep over wide long-on and then against Rana he shows us more of his wristwork. A whip through mid-wicket and a scorching cover drive a treat to the eyes. KKR bleeding. They need a wicket desperately.
Lewis and Surya up the ante
What a rank bad ball by Piyush Chawla first up. A high full-toss and Lewis almost hits it out of the Wankhede. Then goes four, four but Chawla comes back well with three dots. At the end of the powerplay MI have got a quick and solid start.

A pulled six over deep backward square leg and two cracking boundaries through the off-side gives Suryakumar Yadav 15 runs off the Mitch Johnson and that sets things moving for the MI.

KKR have made two changes, or as Dinesh Karthik asserts, two forced changes. Shivam Mavi injured his finger the other night and he's being replaced by the Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna. Nitish Rana has recovered from his back spasms and is back in place of Rinku Singh.

Still half an hour to go to the start of #MIvsKKR, good time to know more about the latest sensation of the country - Shubman Gill. Shirshendu caught up with him in a candid chat.
So what does our early bird have to say?
Purnima Malhotra is at the Wankhede Stadium today and she doesn't like the humidity already. "Hello! Hot and sticky here. There are quite a few fans queueing up outside; don't see too many in the stands as yet," she reports. "Hardik Pandya just marked his run up and goes back to bowling on the side wicket where Malinga is keeping an eye on Bumrah and others. And there's Sunil Narine rolling his arm on the other side strip."
How have Kolkata done so far?
A bit of an up and down tournament for KKR but they seem to be clicking nicely into gear as the business end approaches. They are on a two-match winning streak and would like to make it a hat-trick of wins. The spinners and the promotion of Shubman Gill to 4 worked wonders against Chennai Super Kings in their last match as they cantered home with Dinesh Karthik playing a blinder. Karthik was there at the end against RCB too to steer his side home in a tense finish. The KKR skipper is currently in the form of his life and is certainly leading the side with confidence as well.

Interestingly both the sides haven't met each other in the tournament so far. But it is a double-header of sorts in the space of four days as they face off to grab the crucial 4 points on offer.
