Clinical win from Delhi Capitals, who make it two wins in two games.Having set CSK 176 to win, which at the midway stage, they would've thought to have been at least 20 short, was more than enough in the end, as they restricted Chennai to 131/7 to pick up a 44-run win. Delhi, after being asked to bat first, were impressively disciplined from the start. A superb start from Delhi's openers set the platform for a big score. Shaw got to a half-century after a let-off early on as CSK pulled things towards the end as Delhi finished with 175/3 with the frontline pacers in Deepak Chahar and Josh Hazlewood failing to pick up a wicket.

In a high-scorer, CSK's openers struggled with DC's talented bowling lot coming to the fore. Watson and Vijay struggled upfront, with too much dependence on Faf du Plessis once again, who got among the runs. Dhoni came in earlier than he did in the last two games, but with the slow start they had, it hurt the chase, with no point of recovery. All in all, credit should be given where due, Delhi were outstanding today, ticking all boxes, except maybe their catching, with a few dropped catches, that they'd like to better going forward.

They were cautious and then let loose, much in contrast to the first game. CSK pulled things back quite well with Piyush Chawla getting both the batsmen in quick succession.

Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant added another 50 runs to keep them on course to get to a total in excess of 200. CSK, however, pulled things back towards the end as Delhi finished with 175/3 with the frontline pacers in Deepak Chahar and Josh Hazlewood failing to pick up a wicket.

You, however, wonder if DC missed a trick by sending Iyer at the stage that he came in. Either Stoinis or Hetmyer could've made a world of a difference. Stoinis had three balls to face, while Hetmyer didn't even bat!

Captains who win toss, though, will bowl first factoring in the dew, although the slowness of the wicket in the second wicket is quite obvious. That aside, teams batting first are ending up victorious. What will the skippers do today?

Plucking out a win from the jaws of victory, Delhi Capitals got off to a winning start this season. It was a game only DC could manage to end on the losing side, having been in a strong position for most parts. Kagiso Rabada then showed his class in the super over to take them over the line.

Chennai, on the other hand, got off to a winning start before failing to adapt to the conditions in Sharjah better than the Rajasthan Royals. When the two teams clash tonight, it'll be a test of how they exploit CSK's spin issue, given that DC have three left-handers in their top 5, and CSK don't have a spinner to turn the ball away from them, with Harbhajan opting out.
